It's not like i'm just running below ev with KK's, it's all situations.
first off yr playing small stakes. move up where they will respect yr shoves. you are way more likley to get sucked out on in the micros where quite frankly losing a $10 all in just lol to most people. so yes they are going to call all in with their k 10 not really giving an f if they lose 10 bucks. might not happen with a $100 stack or more.

also, as another poster said, fold pre.

Hey man, I get it, sometimes we run soooo bad it just seems unreal. I once had a blowup after playing a couple back to back 2 day sessions and totally freaked out in the rigged thread. I weathered the storm and things got back to normal. Use your intelligence to fight those feelings. We've all had runs like yours.

the game is much harder than it used to be. We're rarely getting the free money like the old days. So when we run bad, it's baaaad, since we don't have the free money to make up for it.

Sometimes you run bad. I've had years where I was 80bi under expectation, a good friend of mine had a year where he was over 100bi under ev. We still had good years, since we beat the games well enough, but it's pretty hard to handle when you expect to, and do lose every hand unless you've got the nuts. But that doesn't mean the games are rigged, when there's 100k players on a site, and 10 percent of them are running unimaginably bad, that's 10,000 players who math is going to screw. It's not that rare.

At the end of the day though, you just need to understand what variance is. http://www.nsdpoker.com/2011/03/nlhe_6m_pros/ http://pokerdope.com/poker-variance-calculator/

Your coment makes no sense, I get so tired of people posting how they would play. You're not acknowledging the odds and ev I had. Your statement is a cop out statement.

I agree that his reply is useless. Everytime I hear the "go play where they respect shoves" comment, I immediately know that person is a fish. The reply just above yours hits it on the nail. Discuss these things with intelligent players, not only will it improve your game but also your emotional control.

Is there a max on this bonus?

So 300 points to clear each $100 I'm getting from this thread.

I tried to get this bonus but I was told on phone they don't have it. They also told me they are not associated with Bovada. I was under the impression Bodog/Bovada are the same company. When I asked if they shared the same player pools for poker he said no.

Am I missing something here? I always thought they were one and the same?

They share the same pool, but they can offer different promotions.

i was told on two separate calls that rollover applies to dep and bonus, as were u apparently the first time u called. 3 reps say one thing, then the fourth says what u reported above... what to believe?

If you deposit via Visa, does the bank treat it as a cash advance? Kind of defeats the purpose if I'm hit with a 4.9% fee, and then a 10% fee from the credit card lol.
what bovada rep told me: cant cash out anything

bank treats visa transaction like normal shopping, not cash advance, im almost positive

If I bail early and withdraw how do they figure out which piece of the bonus is credited? I guess I will keep my eye on what happens and learn from it.
i was told that if u want to w/d before necessary points are earned, u can call them and they will cancel the bonus if it is more than 30% of requested cashout amount, thereby letting you cashout.

it seems there is a 2k cap on credit/debit card deposits per day, ie $400 bonus cap on cc deposits. u could deposit up to $800 via moneygram as well tho, if that is an option for your account.

i just called bovada for a third time re. the bonus, and unlike the first two times in which i was explicitly told the rollover applies to both deposit and bonus, this time i was told what ddbeast was told on his second call - that rollover applies to bonus only. the rep says he confirmed this with a manager, and that the previous two reps must have been confused.
lol wtf

Cool. Thanks again. It makes more sense like this. I can only assume that you can still withdraw at any time. Only difference is that the moment you withdraw you no longer can accumulate additional bonus (and only receive what you are already earned)

That's how it's been most everywhere else (with the exception of Lock back in 2012 that let you keep accumulating even when you withdrew)

PS. Pls no more "rigged" posts here. Start your own thread.

Wow......

I just called bovada for a 4th! time today for help with another issue, and the rollover thing once again came up at the end of the conversation. This time I was absolutely guaranteed by the rep, before and after checking with his supervisor, that the rollover applies to both the deposit and bonus :O
