PokerGo is showing a Day 6 (Part A) with a countdown clock for coverage to begin at 2:30 p.m. (those of us who will be watching FRA/BEL will miss some of this action).

i'm expecting this "Part A" to continue until 8 p.m. where ESPN now shows a slot of 3 hours of coverage:

ESPN: 8 p.m. - 11 p.m.

now we make the assumption that PokerGo's "night crew" takes over for ESPN at 11 p.m (because there must be a "Day 6 Part B" right?). and we can cross our fingers and make another assumption that PokerGo stays with the action until they stop play at 27 players left in the Main. i really really hope so b/c listening to Ali/Nick as the field whittles down to 27 is what i want for Christmas this year.

it appears that the play and coverage of the Main are both about to pick up a notch today!
This is such a mess.

Does anyone know if the segments shown on ESPN will be available on PokerGo later? Or are those ONLY going to be on ESPN?

It's 2018. GoPro cameras are cheap. It's ridiculous that we couldn't watch the whole thing streamed from beginning to end every day.

Can the TD cut the levels to 90 minutes until they get to the 27? Might make it more manageable.

i'm pretty certain ESPN's coverage will not be available on PokerGo at a later time. that coverage will be available on ESPN3 though.

TD has the discretion to do a lot of things (including this one could say). that said, it would never happen in the Main.

fwiw, pokernews.com has PG's initial coverage ending at 7:40 p.m. and not 7 p.m.

PokerGO – 4:00 p.m. - 7:40 p.m.
ESPN – 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
PokerGO – 12:00 a.m. - TBD

Lol yep. That's the only thing keeping me from completely flying off the handle about this. Don't have to do 2 screens now.

Why do they break the feature table? You'd think they'd make the feature table "table No. 1," or something. The table that does not break, you know?

She lost more hands, and chips, than she won.

That was an all time comment from Benger. It makes him a super villain and not in a good way where you like to hate them. Kassouf is a "love to hate" type of villain. Benger should never live that down. He should hear it every time he sits at a table. The most disgusting comment I've ever heard in my life and I've heard racial slurs and awful things before. Nothing compares to that comment in that spot. He should honestly go to jail or something for that comment for at least a few days. Think about what he said.
Haha, I can't say you're wrong!

everyone raves about the great structure of the main event but my god how many hands do they ever see per 2 hour levels? not even 40 hands? So like under 200 per day?

The players take way too long making decisions. You should get 10 seconds to act every decision preflop or your hand is dead, 20 seconds on every street post flop. Max time for any played hand is under 3 min. For raise and take it under 1 min.

Put that time rule in and NOW we have more of a skill game to this.

I remember on day 6 in 2015 of the main, Pesh DeSilva took 11 minutes to make a river decision against Fedor Holz. Negraneau finally called the clock but that was the longest tank I have seen.

i believe by this time next year the 30 second shot clock (with each player given "x" time extensions at the beginning of each day of play) and the big blind ante will be tournament standards. and we'll be asking ourselves, what the fk were we thinking.

the only real good dispute to a 30 second shot clock that i've heard is that a certain % of recs would be turned off/not play b/c of a shot clock -- which could be the case.

Amazing that they're playing from 109 down to 27 in a single day. What do you think the line would be for when they actually get to 27? Seems like this could go into the early morning

I wonder how women feel about WSOP coverage.

When u have cameras following u not for skill but simply being a semi attractive woman or better, or the ‘last woman left, it seems it would be off putting.

Gender has no affect on skill. We don’t say ‘last African American ‘ standing.

I know women feel they get unwanted attention in cardrooms just bc they are female. To me this is just more of the same. If we treat them like ordinary ppl then maybe more women join. I don’t think they want to have a big sign that says “I’m a woman playing poker”. I feel they would just want to be recognized as a Poker player, not a female Poker player.

U can’t say we need to be more inclusive and then have 6 cameras following a woman and endless updates of how she compares to other women who have played the main
