IMO, durrrrr, Ivey, are higher up on the overrated scale just because of how ridiculously high they are rated (including ratings of all 2+2ers). durrrr at this point has to be considered overrated at NLHU, or at least at the time of this OP, he's been crushed by cates and blom. And in plo it seems he does nothing but lose, prob a little overrated there too. Ivey is obv stil sick, but just doesn't play enough to justify is crazy rating. I'm sure current top PLO and NL players like cates/blom and galfond/cao/skerj would prob beat him over a decent sample of HU hands.

can't see how blom is overrated when almost everyone rates him correctly--top 3 at NLHU and mediocre to bad at PLO.

yes, and what I post under this screen name is typically for fun. I have never revealed my real life or where I play or the stakes becuase I find so much humor here. I have been playing stricltly live for the past 12 years averaging $122,565 per year. I have another screen name ont he site I only access thru proxy servers for my "real posts."

However, I stand by my earlier quote about online players not being able to hack it live. The debate will alwasy lead to lala land, and who really cares anyway. The real jem here is the fun so many of us get from tapping the online fishbowl...

most people realise he's good at hu plo nowadays. it's only really a few idiots/trolls who can't get over the fact that he lost his ftp br playing 500/1k plo ridiculously underrolled, and even then he had a positive (plo) winrate on ftp playing only the best.

edit to add: the fact that he has obvious tilt issues makes his pstars results even more impressive. the fact that hes not losing against the best while having sessions where he'll 4/5/6bet every single hand speaks volumes about his A game

Great post, DougL. The post that most online players can't play live is speculative at best. Just because an online player doesn't have his HUD live doesn't mean his/her powers of observation go out the the window with their HUD.

The FTP players because they where up against lots of ghost deposits, staked pro's and monopoly money.
No wonder they liked the software. It never was the software but only the weak playerpool and if FTP reopens they wil realize why they couldt win on other sites and therfore hated the other software.
