The casino's line here is beyond ridiculous and the severity of the crime is wholly irrelevant, by the same logic they could refuse to return his car from the valet on the way out too. And you have to imagine they know that - it reminds me of that scam where very explicit titles are charged to CCs in the hopes the owner is too embarrassed to call about the chargeback.

I'm not sure if they can even bar him from playing the event, but if they do they owe him 18.5k. If what is written is correct, it seems odd that he would "forfeit" his seat as opposed to making the epic poker league disqualify him as the latter would seem to make for a better legal case.
