I requested a check on 3/30, money taken from FT account that day, received last week - bounce city. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

even if we do get our money back it will be later than stars... fulltilt also has 11 charges, whereas the other sites only have 3 or 4.

in my opinion full tilt is going to use us as leverage in court, stating they cant pay the $3 billion fine in addition to paying the players back. There is also a high chance that they may go belly up.
Quit fearmongering moron.

Online poker is perfectly legal in most jurisdictions. Stars and Tilt are still numbers 1 and 2 respectively in terms of player base. Stars and Tilt are still operating insanely lucrative cash cows. They aren't going anywhere, and it's because of that fact that they absolutely must pay you Americans.

I hope Pokerstars goes under. Runner Runner and 2 outs are king. It would be good to get a regulated site. DIE POKERSTARS

An interesting article, gives a real sense of his pathology. And of how much harm one rogue financial type can do ... This is really poker's version of Madoff and the other financial fiascos of recent months.

Just had a check that bounced put back in my stars account without having to send a copy of the check. Hopefully this is a good sign that they are heading in the right direction and we will be paid soon.

Sorry if this has been brought up, but something I'm curious about..
I made a $50 deposit literally 5 or 10 minutes before US players got locked out of Pokerstars, and it was finally taken out of my bank account last Friday (22nd)
Still cant withdraw, obviously, but apparently they can still take our past deposits?
04-25-2011 , 11:26 AM
just got notice this morning that a echeck i had requested the morning of black friday has been returned to my pstars account. hopefully, they are getting their house in order to maybe start cashing out U.S. accounts. <crosses fingers but
refuses to hold breath>

Don't twist what i said........for it IS good news US players can cash out soon.

......just a bit taken back by the hypocrisy of what i thought was the turning
off of a law to meet an end. I had been told (at a B&M casino) the UIGEA forbid the transfer of funds "to and from" a gambling site. Layzie
mentioned that payouts weren't covered in the law as being forbidden, and
in going over the UIGEA briefly think he is right,.....payouts look OK as far as the way the law is written. (Unless i missed something as it's pretty confusing the way it's worded and in shear length alone with the final version)

I guess i assumed since payouts made use of either a bank wire or a check (facilitated thru a bank or processor),.....that payouts were
illegal when using the banking system.

Considering the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) makes
fund transfers to and from gambling (poker) sites illegal when US banks are
involved,........it strikes me as a bit outrageous that the DOJ can turn on and off the "illegality" of the law at will.

As bad and unfair as the initial passing of UIGEA was, to then control the
poker sites as puppets and now allow the US players the return of their
balances seems a bit of a slap in the face. "It's illegal when we SAY it's
illegal,......and legal when WE say it is!"

Just another example of big brother exerting it's muscle to get what it ultimately wants,.......total control, including the eventual financial "sharing" of the proceeds.

..........isn't that what has always been the motive?

.......so sick.

PokerStars is regulated by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission

Isle of Man is home to many financial institutions and other prominent companies (i.e. Canonical) due to its well-established and stable regulatory infrastructure. (and it's probably the most expensive offshore location to set up business in)

And it may come as a shock to you but I trust Isle of Man government way more than the US one. And I think plenty of people around the world will share that sentiment.

My eCheck withdrawal from Poker Stars, requested on Black Friday, was rejected today and I was told the Cash Out option in the PokerStars Cashier is temporarily unavailable to allow us to prepare the technical solutions and formulate the plan and processes required to allow you to cash out your balance.
