I personally interpreted that quote as meaning

If you don't have at least a hundred dollars to spare you should be working rather than playing poker. Poker is a high varience form of income, you shouldn't be playing when you can't afford to loose.

Its completely true. This quote is in context where Ivey says 'I can be making a $400K bluff and just not care' which is true. You totally need to detatch yourself from money where losing 1K, 5K, 50K, 500K in a pot is just losing points not money. This way there is no tilt and playing becomes much easier

He is saying to be a pro poker player you need to completely detatch yourself from money and treat it as nothing, to a point where you can pull $100 out of your wallet and burn it not caring
