I think it implies closer to half a milly.

I'm mostly kidding but well over 450k seems like an odd way to phrase a debt.
Rampage often uses odd phrases and says things in a way that very few native English speakers would. He has a unique use of the language!

Well over 450,000 has to mean something like 450,987

What did Torelli do that we haven’t? Everyone here at one time or another has stacked his chips in a way where large chips were not clearly visible. It happens. The fact is, he did not do it on purpose. Who has Alec scammed? No one. Who has he not paid back? Definitely no one cuz the man has so much money he doesn’t need to borrow anyhow.
Rampage is a good person. Maybe he is. Maybe he isn’t. I don’t know him. But I fully intend to hit him up for a six figure loan later.

Oh, did it bite you in the ass? What did you expect?
You say he didn't know the guy, but then suggest he knew he was a "degen". This is contradictory. How can he know a guy he doesn't know?

I’m making an educated guess on that point

I don’t even own a sportcoat, let alone one with the reinforced elbows. However, I may just go buy one to wear next session.

I guess you aren't jealous of Rampage, his lifestyle, or his partner. (like everyone else is of Torelli).

No. Not really. I make decent money. Would I like to make more? Sure I would. And I most likely will if I’m keep grinding. I have a partner that I’m happy with who also tolerated my stepping out. Can’t beat that.

You’re thinking about this too deeply. These guys got rich from providing an illegal service. They aren’t poker players they are just gamblers. They took on more risk than anyone else by expanding their club to the general public and constantly playing stakes at the edge of their bankroll. These are not the type of people to just cash in their chips and live on a beach in Thailand. Rampage hasn’t given the details for the “investment” scheme but I doubt it’s any less crazy than using YouTube revenue to jump from 1/3 cash to high stakes (including tournaments) or converting your subs to a criminal underground poker game run off internet money.

This isn’t even an insult. It’s an amazing story and these guys are doing more than anyone else to onboard new blood to poker.

This goes against everything you've said of Torelli and people that have talked badly towards him.

How do you mean? I said others were jealous of Mr. Torelli, not I. I’ve met the man. He’s an ok guy. I grew up in Brooklyn. I know shady people. He’s not one of them.

The guy is a troll who gets off on being a contrarian especially when it comes to scammers and/or angle shooters.

Best to add him to your ignore list and not feed into his nonsense.

Didn’t rampage get taken for like 10k by a YouTube scammer within the last year?

No, I'm very much interested in how everyone from Brooklyn is a good person.

EDIT: Sorry, I should have said how anyone from Brooklyn can spot a scammer.

Rampage was obviously stupid in this scenario, but it depends on the situation and if anyone vouched for Dustin.

I'm a troll, eh?

Anyone reading my posts can see that there is a bit of hyperbole in there, but I have not resorted to childish name-calling as you just have nor have I attacked anyone personally. I'm a fair man. I'll accept your apology.

If anyone vouched for Dustin then that is the person you go after.

As to you asking about how anyone from Brooklyn can spot a scammer, maybe not all of them, but I tell you what, come to Brooklyn. I'll show you how, tough guy.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with Rampage? I want to present him an offer to get his money back by borrowing $250k from him and paying 200% APY. He'll earn back his loan loss to Dustin in just one year.

No sympathy for loan sharks. Everyone involved in this is a POS.

Imagine how blinkered you are when you out your own illegal (and idiotic) loan shark business on twitter looking for sympathy.

When you give someone a loan with terms like that you are basically trying to scam them. When hes giving that loan he is just rubbing his hands thinking about the sweet money hes extracting form the stupid sucker.

Was he really looking for sympathy?

Part of it is to call out the other guy obviously but for me it sounds like a "woe is me" post and he obviously expecting support, not people calling him out for being a pos loan shark.
