I even waited around for him to check in for his flight, and went back to work on him, pointing out that there was an ATM right "over there" but he explained that my story about being in town for a job interview with DuPont and looking for an apartment, and Southwest cancelling my flight and needing money to pay for a room at the Ramada had a hole. I told him I did not know where the Ramada was and he could not phone the hotel. . About a minute later he looks at me and walks off to catch his plane

Just giving people a heads up on what to expect at MCCarran - just amazing.

"Grease is my friend, grease is my friend"

Of course, I WILL recognize your name as the guy who outed PSUMike's terminal shenanigans. So well played twice.

First, it wasnt a tip, it was an extorted bribe. Tips are always voluntary.

Second, You really think the edge is so big in $500 satellites that you can tip up to $250 per day playing them without lowering your win rate significant key?

I have never said don't tip, BTW. Tipping an average of $5 each after being seated in a reasonable time makes the guy hundreds of dollars per hour.

Tipping $50 is absurd, the floor would be making thousands per hour while you take risk and variance to make a fraction of that.

How could you not grease someone providing such a benefit??

Cliffs: PSUMike1999 aka H Michael Borovetz got a scumbag fired from the WSOP, but it turns out that Michael may be a scumbag himself at airports.

Someone else told the supervisor but they didn't seem to care. Just giving people a heads up on what to expect at the Rio satellite area - just amazing.
Did you hear this story at the airport ?

Having dealt this year at the WSOP I can tell you that the podium man has little say over what gets started and what doesn't. The only real influence he would have is what to announce on the mic. The floors decide what games to run, and when. Also, if there is a dealer sitting at a table, even if it is empty, that table has a game assigned to it. Because different games require different amounts of chips, etc the dealer is given this information before sitting down. While it would be ideal for the floors to be able to sit down 10 players that are waiting at an empty table, it is asking a lot when you consider how well they **** up most things. Overall though everyone tries hard and has a good attitude. It is strange that someone who has little influence was soliciting money.

So is the story from PSUMIKE made up? Do we think he got annoyed at the floor for some other reason and then exaggerated or made up this story?
