To clear some things up around the Gus thing for guys who don't speak French and therefore can't understand **** to the ClubPokerRadio podcast where Alex and Seb were invited :
- Gus was mentioned many times in the documentary as a "mark", it wasn't meant to be free trashing (even though whining and trashing is a second nature for most poker players)
- That doesn't mean that he's that terrible : according to Alex, he's running -1ptbb\100 which is not that bad considering he's playing the top players in those games.

Anyway, good job Tapis, can't wait for your next documentary!

I just watched this last night and it was so impressive!

Like MANY have said, this was the best and most enjoyable poker doc. I have ever had the pleasure to watch.

Thank You also for the translation, it is very much appreciated by all of us as you can see

What is your next project going to be about Tapis_volant?

Pretty funny that Gus decided to play much smaller stakes not long after this Doc blew up. I wonder how much he has heard about this.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but wasn't the whole film just clips of them wandering around Las Vegas?

No, it was a well made film and definitely worth watching. I think that the fact that Gus stopped playing huge games online / with them was unrelated. He knew that he was a mark for lots of people (the dangs come to mind in particular) and I don't think that bothered him too much.

All the Gus hate is misdirected anyway, the guy literally played the top 1-3 people in all their specialty formats for years. His losses aren't that bad when you think about it logically, he's certainly miles better than everyone in this thread incl myself of course. The guy just wanted action and doesn't give a **** about money.

+1 to this. Tho I did think they went overboard bashing him in the video.

Also, these guys are pretty irresponsible in breaking the rule of never putting more than 1% of your bankroll on one table:

in the video he calls gus and jedlicka the fish and BOTH are at the table. super + ev playing shorthanded. second thats just the online roll(at only one of probably 5+ sites he has money on)

Tapis_volant, who made Nosebleed, has just released during lockdown some scenes he edited out of his numerous documentaries.
Here is a deleted scene from Nosebleed :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4I7wNJ6eCQY

No subtitles though...

I think it actually contains more gems ( from a technical standpoint) than the documentary itself : about crunching numbers, frequencies, players tendancies and leaks, dynamics.

Summary : everyone was underbluffing a lot of spots back then ; Luneau and Sabic massively exploited this and basically got away with murder.

Most opponents were feel players : Luneau studied a lot of spots , whose outcome and solutions could definitely not be found instinctively.

Most opponents were too loose pre , too weak tight on later streets.

A lot of their adversaries made a lot of money in mixed games from 2008 through 2011 but fell behind the curve at this point ( 2014) : Gus, Ivey, Antonius ( who was still okayish).

Luneau admits to being a fish in live settings. He would never play live some guys he beat online ( example is Oppenheim) : one good live read every 100 hands from this kind of player would destroy his winrate.

Seb is/was doing real estate buying/flipping
Luneau has an AI company, he seems to be using it for sports betting, at least partially
