Secondly, Kevmath can't possibly be the only person capable of quality, unbiased reporting of poker events... if he is then let's just all shut down Bluff/Cardplayer/Pokernews/2p2/etc/etc right now.
Thirdly, people demanding Kevmath getting there immediately, how about they themselves just fly over since obviously it's free to get on the plane and fly from America to Macau, the accommodation there is also free for everyone, and food is also free.... so why do we need Kevmath then!!
The level of idiocy in this thread from some = the reason why they will only ever be railtards with no bankroll.
There are definitely viable candidates for this job. I've recently submitted my resume and writing samples to Tom and Matt. I'm a graduate from the University of Missouri with a degree in Journalism (News Editorial). I covered the Missouri's Men's basketball team for the newspaper in Columbia, which of course gave me access to the locker room after the game for interviews, post game press conferences with Big 12 and other national coaches, as well as Big 12 weekly conference calls. So i'm pretty experienced with interviewing people with a national profile.
Following my graduation, i covered some high school sports for a newspaper and worked in Vegas for two summers covering the WSOP, one summer writing for Bluff/Harrahs, and the following summer as a reporter for pocketfives.com. I of course have never maintained a full time writing job as i've played poker full time upon graduation, live poker for 2 years after school and have played live and online after that, most hands online at 1-2NL to 5-10NL, and currently play 5-10NL - 25-50NL live. I feel my experience reporting Division I and High School sports, as well as reporting on poker and playing full time, make myself a solid option for this job.
