This is the future of AR glasses/lenses. Women will be able to wear a filter to blur out everyone whos below 6ft or have an education in IT, or who has ever uttered the words "sklansky bucks" out loud (its in your NSA records). The future is bright.

Antonius is a mandatory inclusion in any list of who to invite to a TV cash game, considering all factors (skill, interest, intangibles, “good for the game” quality), etc.

That’s not even considering his online battles on FTP / Stars or the huge pots against Dwan.

Not to mention his hands alone make him a legend in HSP and one of the greatest of all time in terms of televised poker.

People on these forums really still living in the past. The lack of awareness is astonishing and sad. Poker nerds are the only people still interested in watching televised poker. If you want to watch monkeys yelling and throwing around poker chips watch old poker boom content or LATB.

I think it varies from person to person a ton.

Dwan said recently he’s had 90%+ of himself every/or almost every time he’s played on TV.

Seemed pretty genuine about it and obv has the winnings/career longevity to back it up.

I think it’s reasonable that guys like Doug and Bryn can afford the game as well.

Even for the pros that don’t have large pieces of themselves, it’s 400/800 with straddling ffs. Who cares?

The relevance of the stakes is also that every bullet has more weight to it, which makes the game more interesting, regardless of which percentage a player has.

It's still a big(ger) deal either way, then if player X would have 100% of himself in a 40/80 game. Denying this is delusional.

Friendly reminder that Bellande is backed by Robl, Phil Ivey can't afford to put himself into 50k tourneys without a backer and played Rail Heaven with funny money and that Phil Hellmuth sells pieces to people who don't know any better via brand recognition

This is how the poker world works

Does Robl back JRB when he’s not playing at the same table with him?
If so, why?

Bellande and Ivey well documented. You could argue I’m being harsh with Phill Hellmuth

Bellande is well documented, you do not know the reason for Ivey. There is a better chance the alternate explanation is more legitimate than your own. Your statement regarding Hellmuth wasn't harsh, is was false.

I know Ivey can’t afford this game. I won’t say more than that. Enjoy indulging in your fanboying

Ivey might of had some rough times recently, but only a few years ago he was one of few buying in the 1 drop with no backers.

Yes, let’s ignore the fact that there are several poker pros that can afford to have the majority of their action at these and similar stakes to fit the narrative that everyone in poker is broke.

If guys like Robl and Trueteller can afford to back guys who are punting hundreds of thousands of dollars consistently like Bellande is- think about what stakes they can afford themselves.

I was watching a One Drop episode on PokerGo and the commentators roasted Rick Salomon for a good 4 min about his sex tape with Paris Hilton. I've known of Rick Salomon for several years and somehow never knew he was the Paris Hilton sex tape guy until now. lol

Robl is too ****ing good to have people lining up to play him and JRB is good at getting games put together and going regularly so Robl backs JRB to get games started and going and network with other players so that he can come into those games later and clean up. Also Robl probably finds the way JRB manages to punt off gigantic stacks in situations that he never should to be kind of funny and makes enough money to not care.

Yea I’ve heard that’s how Robl gets into juicy games.
But Robl hasn’t been playing in this season of HSP yet, so wasn’t sure what benefit Robl has staking JRB here.
Maybe he’s coming later, or Robl thinks JRB winning in that line up.

The benefit is it keeps JRB on television as the fun player who drinks a lot and talks to everyone and usually loses money.

JRB probably gets ROBL into very juicy games for backing him. Lynn must have an absolutely sick trust fun I can''t even imagine.

There’s probably a dozen rich guys in LA who’d stake Lynne just to get her attention.

She's not even particularly attracrive. Not unattractive, but if we're willing to dump 100s of thousands of dollars for female attention one could do much better.

Didn't see the hand but from what you wrote totally normal sizing lol.

BTW I tried finding a way of watching it without poker go, Is there any other way?
