Previously I got a semi-generic one, but it had me sorted into the "docs look in order, and you're not getting any money in march" bucket. So presumably she read far enough to forward it to someone who actually did read it, and look at the app. The one guy said they asked for him to gather up some more info.

I think if you email the info@gcg people directly they give you something like "read the website".

DOJ got back to me today. I guess quoting their rules got them to move. If "move" means actually answering me with a note saying they'll finish it when they feel like it .

Dear Mr. MYNAME:

The Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice acknowledges receipt of your Freedom of Information Act request dated February 2, 2015, in which you requested access to acontract between the Department of Justice and Garden City Group pertaining to the remission of funds concerning Full Tilt Poker. Your request has been assigned file number 300476105. You should refer to this number in any future correspondence with this Office.

The records you seek require a search in another section of the Criminal Division, and so your request presents “unusual circumstances” under the FOIA. See 5 U.S.C. 552 § (a)(6)(B)(i)-(iii). Because of these unusual circumstances, we need to extend the twenty day time limit to respond to your request beyond the ten additional days provided by the statute. The time needed to complete our processing of your request will necessarily depend on the complexity of our records search and on the volume and complexity of any records located. In an effort to facilitate our records search, you may wish to narrow the scope of your request to limit the number of potentially responsive records or agree to an alternative time frame for processing, should records be located; or you may wish to await the completion of our records search to discuss either of these options.

In accordance with Department of Justice regulation 28 C.F.R. § 16.3(c) (2014), this letter also confirms your agreement to incur all applicable FOIA fees involved in the processing of your request, up to the amount of $25.

If you have any questions or wish to discuss reformulation or an alternative time frame for the processing of your request, you may contact me by telephone at (202) 616-0307, or you may write to me at the Criminal Division, United States Department of Justice, Suite 1127,

Keeney Building, 950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20530-0001. Thank you for your interest in the Criminal Division.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Courter

Did you have to pay for the FOIA?

No. By filing I agreed they could bill me up to $25.

It's supposed to be waived if it's in the interest of the public, also.

I CCd the 'send it here if you're not sure which department' email address of DOJ my last inquiry and they got back to me also with a different case #. They asked for a document that didn't apply, so working with them on that now, too...

I have no clue why you guys are still emailing that one person, a person in which some random poster on here decided should be the go to contact after Patrick left. A person that's not even that high up on the corporate ladder, she's just a director. A person who hasn't picked up the phone more than once or responded to an email. A person who hasn't provided one bit of new information.

Perhaps you should CC bob from accounting or john from human resources? lol.

I mean, if you're gonna bug someone shouldn't it be someone who actually makes more than $60k a year?

http://www.gardencitygroup.com/direc...%20Management/

To me though, **** is pointless. Pappas provided the info, not anyone else. It's just a sitting and waiting game now. If you need to speak to someone at GCG, you need to speak to a case specialist.

I told myself I would stop checking this thread until the end of March. Can someone give me cliffs? I'm stilled owed roughly 10k with a 3k disputed amount. I can't believe it's 4 years later already.

Got a 0.00 deposit in my bank account from DOJPoker01(or something like that) which according to the ftp site indicates that they are ready to make a transfer.

Don't have any disputes but mine was just delayed to this wave since I apparently filed it wrong the first time. ~5k

By the end of the month the most modest ~25% (~400 of ~1600) of disputed petitions will be paid. Maybe Monday based on Zefa's post. These are all disputes less than $500 and up to $2000 if it's less than 20% of your balance.

There is no timeline at all for further payments. At least one reference to additional waves (plural) has been made, suggesting more than one further round of waiting is possible.

I have been out of the poker scene for a few years and never filed a full tilt refund and have a few grand on there. Can I still request a refund?

Response from my email to Lorri:

Dear xxxxx,

Thank you for your email. We have been unable to reach you by phone. Please be advised that the subsequent wave of payment will likely include disputed petitions that are properly documented. We do not currently have an exact timeline for when subsequent distributions will occur after the first distribution to disputing petitioners, however, we are hoping to make payments in the 2nd quarter of this year.

Hello,

I saw on the website that there is another wave about to be payed out and I will not be included because I don't fit the criteria. Do you know what the criteria will be for the next wave? If you're not sure can you estimate what it is likely to be? Do you know when that wave will be payed out? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
xxxx xxxxxxx

They deflected the criteria question so I responded with an email asking about that specifically.

2nd quarter isn't toooo late, but still annoying obv.

And not like this is a big update but I had called the regular GCG number, idk, like 6 days ago. Was told my question, which was if I was going to be repaid the correct amount on my disputed balance, would have to be answered by a "case specialist", and that one of them would call me in no more than 2 days...derp. Got a call just now from one of them, idk her name she was either very tired or just really did not want to be on the phone with me (was just generally short and didn't have a positive tone of voice), she could see my balance and that then amount I disputed would be repaid, and made it seem like no issue if you disputed the correct amount, like not trying to be greedy and lie basically you're going to get the full balance back.

Also I asked her for a time frame, she said they are targeting the end of this month but are working for a final date and it should not be any later than the first week of April.
