We didn't name durrrr as a defendant. Is it your contention that Matusow has never had any equity in any of the Full Tilt companies? And how much has he been paid by Full Tilt lifetime?

Could FT case by like the Bernie Madoff case where the trustee has sought to claw back donations from institutions like the Met and other investors who actually made money on the Ponzi scheme?
Well I hope he starts with the deadbeats who didn't pay their echecks. He could then move to take action against ppl like Todd Terry who played on the site while knowing it was illegal (against most sites terms).

Lol, come on, we all know the answer to this. Why were members of the these sites allowed on the board, because they provided the lion share of the funding? I mean i guess you could argue it would have been better to have no ppa, because the players certainly weren't going to fund a functional ppa like organization pre-BF.

While you and others can disagree with me, IMO, at the very least the the PPA spun and mislead the players in this regard.
You could make this argument, I'd say the self serving mentality that permeated through the poker community pre-BF was far worse - the mentality that there would always be a loophole for the sites... they would always have at least checks, ect. At least member of the ppa said the status quo wouldn't last for some time before BF.

I mean if someone had posted a reasonable thread prior to black friday about how FTP didn't have anywhere near the cash to meet its outstanding obligations, how many minutes before the thread would have been locked and everyone would have been like lulz FTP is a billion dollar corporation yo...

Yes.

Hasn't he made a motion for dismissal based on that fact?

Hi Gehner Very unsecured I fear, after everyone else takes their bites. IF it comes to that of course and it's not certain, just grim!

Unsecured creditors. A secured creditor is someone who is owed money and the company/person who owes them the money has posted some sort of surety to secure it. The most common example would be a mortgage (which is secured by your house) or a typical car loan (which is secured by the vehicle).

Basing from previous online poker banktruptcys (the skins of microgaming that went under), unsecured creditors was what players were considered there. As far as I know liquidation in that case is still going on.

Money that is frozen is frozen pending trial. In your words, the DOJ has laid charges against the companies that are sufficiently serious and plausible that a judge (and in some cases, also a foreign governmentt) has agreed to hold onto some money until the trial.

Money that is seized or forfeited (There's a distinction, but I don't really get it) has been won at trial or in a settlement. I believe that FTP has not contested any of the charges before Black Friday (though they have filed a response to the Black Friday charges), so most of that money has already been forfeited as their respective US Attorneys won their trial by default.
Thanks NoahSD, sorry my wording wasnt too clear but I understand what your saying thanks.

All the shareholders got a message early on not to discuss anything related to FT and, since it's a fairly small group, reliable inside info is scarce.
We know that MM said on QJs that he 'Didn't have anything to do with FTP' which he said several times, but he never said he didn't OWN a piece of FTP....listen to it carefully.

based on the previous history of a gambling site/owners being under indictment by the US Goverment, we should get most of our money back very quickly.........

Or maybe not!

We think this is very interesting from Chris Ferguson's website:

QUESTION 3: Do you own this site?
Our poker stars designed the Full Tilt Poker software. We do not run or own FullTiltPoker.com. We do however represent the site and put our reputations behind the software we designed and the integrity of the site.
These things are taken directly from PKL's public records, which were posted a bit earlier. (I just dropped them on SP's server if anyone wants them. Click me. Mods, this is just a link to a publicly available PDF that we're hosting, so should be kosher.)

At the end of the doc, it says "The directors consider Tiltware LLC, a company incorporated in the United States of America, as the company's ultimate parent undertaking."

On page 14 (using the numbering scheme actually written on the pages), it describes the fact that almost all of its money comes from My West Nook, and lists some other much smaller relationships.

I'd rather find out today that I'm getting 0% than wait an agonizing 5 years of occasionally checking in for updates about progress and living this cluster**** down for many years to come.
