there have been about 99 developments that have supposed to have happened, but have yet to be officially reported as such by anyone other than Jeff Ifrah, should that make you feel confident about the situation?

They're much better off writing off the money and being happily surprised if they ever see it again than they would be borrowing against the funds in their FTP account with the expectation that they'll be seeing them any day now.

Expect the worst, hope for the best...

You guys are like the people who play fantasy football, and say "good game" to their opponent, even when they still have a decent chance of winning, just so they can emotionally freeroll everyone. It's also called being a weak minded tool.

Are the people saying they're "done" with this just not gonna claim back their funds if the site comes back?
02-11-2012 , 12:56 PM
Nothing wrong with being optimistic about all this, really, as long as you are not a shill/troll with an agenda ( and I think these are rare now)! The players have so little power to affect an outcome here. It is better to feel good about what could happen than to droop in dispair at bad news. What will be will be and the "suits" will decide in the end!

I wonder why pokerstars didn't get involved in the purchase. They make enough money and for them to shell out lets say 200million wouldn't be that hard. they would own the software all the players. They would not have the two biggest poker sites to make a super site.

Because full tilt players (like myself) dont want to play on pokerstars. If we did, we would be playing on stars right now and not waiting around for the relaunch.
I for one would never play on FTP again if stars owned it.
What would be the point.

Yours faithfully,
A die hard full tilt supporter.

Same as DePokerGod here...... absolutely hate stars,,,,,, people must remember that most people who have an a/c with FTP,, would also have a stars a/c and chose to play on FTP not on stars ,,,, would be a case of stars burning money if u ask me

If you hate Stars as much as you like commas, you must be really bustin' to get back on FTP2.

Which I can understand - after all, integrity, reliability, good support, being able to cash out at will and so forth, they're OK but if we're talking software, hell man! - who cares if the management are using players' cash for dividends, those avatars are sooooo cute!

Take the random sniping and FTP vs. Stars debates elsewhere, please. This thread is tilting enough as it is.

oh, irony...

I started playing just shortly before BF and luckily hadn´t any bankroll anywhere back then but even a total newbie like me noticed that the competition was way fishier on FTP than on stars with tons of traffic as opposed to some other fishy sites with no real traffic at all.

So if FTP2 would be "somehow" similar to FTP1 with regards to Software and especially traffic (even 1/3 of FTP1´s traffic would be bigger than Party as of now) and fishiness I would transfer a big portion of my current stars BR to FTP2 after it seems to be the case that certain rules and management have been properly improved.

Also there is a real chance of FTP2 to be allowed back into the US either on a state-by-state basis or on the federal level, an opportunity which seems to be quite unlikly for Stars.

95% chance we see a fraction of our money on Full Tilt. The signs are all too telling.

Tilting is the amount of time a lot of people, including me, have wasted reading (and writing in) this thread - I just hope there is some kind of definite conclusion sometimes soon, either way. I don´t have so much to loose than many others here, but it is still quite a lot of money, at least for me (and I´m not talking about a low number of Benjamin´s here, either).

Some more semi-random rambling - I hate the way "poker sources" rewrite some old articles and present them as "news"; please bring "subject poker" back!

Valid point. Stars vs. FTP debate is tired, pointless, and outside the scope of this thread. If you really want to discuss it, go to IP and bump one of the threads about this fascinating topic there. Don't continue to argue about it here.

We have had some news since Dec. GBT has commented on the pros debts as a possible barrier to the deal, as well as other stuff being worse than expected.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on non-director shareholder culpability, but lets do it here, not in the petition thread.
