Not that we have a choice or it matters, but I'd rather wait to get all of it later than get just a percent of it now.

This article, dated 5 January 2012, and published under "poker gossip" sounds dubious to me, it claims no sources. Here is the substance of what it says:
The voluntary forfeit is moving forward. GBT is in association with several US casinos. GBT is already operating the Dublin office while formalities are being finished in NY. Bureaucracy is delaying the hoped for reopening date of just after the first of the year. Then the most interesting part (my opinion:most questionable): Former directors will be prevented from having any management participation but it is expected that they will buy back into the company; this is why Ferguson is asking for 98 million of his funds back. Online poker will be legalized in the US in the near future and FTP's future is bright.

That's a "Cliffs" of what it says, I do not vouch for anything in it and personally don't believe it is much more than speculation.

If it takes time, that implies there is a process, and if there is a process, that implies that there should exist news of how that progress is going. I'm not angry at you or saying you should know the inner workings, but I am just curious if you feel you just don't have the right sources to give updates or if you really believe that nothing at all is happening.
I think its clear that SP doesn't have great sources at the DOJ, although they would never admit that.

Nice pic of Jen Harman enjoying being at the PCA on the facebook PCA page. She must have got loads from the player money, been a member of team full tilt since the very start (and an ex of howards I think?).

Haven't they already pretty much said the DoJ is damn near impossible to pry any leaks from?

Hopefully they start with all brand new employees. Really need to get the corruption vibe from the company away; I also wouldnt let old shareholders buy back in. At least ones who made decisions.

They were in here giving "updates" until the end of May. People kept crapping on them so they stopped.

Why bother? People are (very rightly) upset they don't have their money, and Full Tilt has nothing to say, because they crapped the bed so bad. Their updates won't be believed until they pay the players back.

But the really dumb part comes from people demanding constant updates, only so they can tell Full Tilt to **** off with their updates.
NO, Old FTP IS like Enron. My point was that I am suprised that they did not at least try to placate stiffed players with more BS. Most crooked/troubled companies DO try that . FTP really did not, just a bit puzzled that they did not try to "shine on" the players more. Please either read OR ignore my posts ,sir, but don't rewrite them for me in the future. Thanks

They "shined on" a whole bunch of players by continuing to stay in business and pretend everything was fine even though they were BUSTO.

Once the true situation came out, what were they supposed to try to say? "Oh, yeah, don't worry, we have your $300M right over here?"

Exactly. Based on the situation, no one is going to believe anything Full Tilt says (nor should they). The only update that would ever have been taken seriously would have been "OK, we have your money and here is how you cash out."

The problem I have is with people demanding updates from Full Tilt just because they are really pissed off and need something to pounce on.

Forum: "WHERE IS THE FULL TILT ANNOUNCEMENT? Even if they don't have any new info, just say something."

Full Tilt: "OK, we can't pay you your money right now. Here's some updates about FTP points and medals and we will tell you more when we can."

Forum: "STUPID FTP! Why say anything if you're just going to announce announcements of announcements! Hurr durr hurr!"

I have enough money to last me until the end of February. You think us RoW players will have access to FTP and our funds by then?
Or should i do the unthinkable and apply for a J-O-B

I don't visit this thread often anymore. I am surprised this situation hasn't been resolved yet.

Anyway, I did come across this which talks about FTP and the AGCC (apologies if already posted). I think the FTP bit starts at about two thirds the way through(!)

I guess it will be pretty dry but it does show the AGCC's chief executive in action with the UK authorities and might be of passing interest to some of you, particularly as it contains some FTP specific info later on.

If the link doesn't work, the URL is : http://www.parliamentlive.tv/Main/Player.aspx?meetingId=9826

I apologise in advance for my lack of ability with hyperlinks.

After further review, you have a point there sir! They were not behaving exactly like Enron in pretending to be viable to the last hour. Suprised they did not, and use shills more often (unless FTP owed them money too)
