I don't see what PS' angle would be to say the rumors are false when they are really true...

No, the licensee can be fined for accepting play from a minor, but PS uses a verification system that indemnifies them that their age verification (based on a series of questions that only the holder of the card would likely know) will block a minor using his parent's card and the licensee gets hit with a charge back.

PokerStars even brought a a representative from their age verification service and an IoM regulator to the Nevada assembly hearings on their bill, to testify on how strict their licensing was and how much money Nevada might be able to make by becoming the IoM 'gold standard' of US regulation.

And Clemens and Bonds were tried for lying to Congress, and perjury and obstruction, respectively, not for the use of steroids.

Low-content posters gonna low-content think.

(Still would like to know if IoM has B&M casinos.)

The PS system didn't always work. And aside from that, it was (basically) 18+, not 21+. So these laws/regulations/we that IoM have - do they supersede US law?

So are you still cautiously optimistic about the deal ?

I know this is a silly question, but I don't pretend to have any idea about what exactly is going on since it's way too complicated for someone who is not from the US and has no experience in law, so I base my mood about the FTP deal on your mood .

No differently than if an 18 year old physically rather than virtually traveled to a casino in Costa Rica and played poker.

Judge Sand has granted the USAO's request for an extension of time to file certain motions, this would have an effect on the time to clear assets of claims and also gives more persons time to file other MTD's.
