Technically my account had a 0 balance, but I was stick $1200 in a check that I never received from FTP. I imagine there are thousands of other users like me.

However, I should have clarified. I meant that users that did not have a legit 0 balance are owed on average $1,000 - $1,500.

Definitely setting the line too high. For everyone with $1k in their account there's gonna be 10x with $100.

I also think that a good portion of all the accounts had $100 or less.

You may be right.

However, the 5.1% of ROW players made up 90% of the funds owed. (according to the figures provided by Tapie, 5.1% of players owed 160M)

It also appears that play money accounts and accounts with a 0 balance were included in the player figures that Tapie used. (So he could inflate the amount of people that were 'made whole.'

I think the line is much higher than $100.

Median would be a better way to look at it. Diamond flush article said 95% of balances were 100 or less, soooooo...

.. but it is also disingenuous to say that when you include fake money accounts for example. Of course there balance would be 0, yet it looks better in press releases when you include those users. Same with those that aren't owed anything by FTP.

I know many people are really crapping on the GBT deal, and it does seem like it wouldn't have been adequate. However, if pokerstars does not buy FTP there will literally be no chance to get repayed for anyone, and then we'll all have wished the GBT deal would have gone through.

rofl

Can I get a package deal that comes with the sarcasm detector, or do I need to buy it separately?

If PS doesn't buy FTP, I'm sure GBT can come back and offer a similar deal after the fact.

I have a feeling that GBT got out bc PS made a better deal and if the PS deal falls thru, GBT would prob get back in

Yeah, so how do you feel about staking him for those mtts and not getting your cut, since he played them with your bankroll???

I have a weird feeling GBT will buy UB. They need something for the ISPT and in the press release it kind of leads me to believe they have other options open.

Where are all the "genius poker message board people" that told me to put on my tin foil hat when I was saying how the tapie deal made zero sense. I'll take those apologies now. Btw I actually feel like this poker stars thing has a chance to be real.
Makes a hell of a lot more sense the the crap you people have been spewing for months. #goodtoberight

And the person who owes me the biggest apology is diamond flush. Totally attacked me out of the blue when I knew more than the so called poker journalist.

GBT said as much in their statement.

"GBT cannot accept the end of those [player hopes for a repayment solution]

For that reason, unless a concrete and legally viable solution is found in the very coming days to save the employees and repay the players of FTP, we will move to our own plan of action."

Any ideas how much UB AP owes? I don't know myself, but likely less than FTP does. Just speculating from us, but I would not be shocked if this was the next wierd twist

You were right about GBT as were some others, props to you, you were also a rude troll about it and you didn't have to be, so some apologies are due both ways, but all in all it looks like it may all work out and you get your $4k along with being right about the FTP2 deal! Alls well that ends well

I hope the DOJ amends their civil complaint.

Only time I had been what could be considered rude was after being attacked by an endless crowd of people for disagreeing with the masses. Now you know why I disagreed because anyone with any common sense could see it didn't add up. Remember me saying over
and over wake up!!! Btw I don't know where you came up with the amount I'm stuck because I have never told anyone in here how much but that is not it. Unfortunately it's more. Let's hope this works out.

I also think the below is their plan of action. Not waiting for the PS deal to not go through.
