I think it's very likely - amazing player without connections to previous FTP. Same story with Phil Galfond.

Wasnt he connected with that Portugese scammer? His reputation would not be the best for a site looking to clean up its image...

He was connected, but most of the culpability seemed to be with Haseeb Qureshi (dogishead) and Jose Macedo. I think Daniel admitted to playing using Jose's account once. His rep seems fairly untarnished.

He played on the account more than once; he admitted to playing "a few times", and there were 3 or 4 confirmed HS sessions where he was the one playing, in addition to admitting to playing on at least one DIH account as well (IIRC).

However, I tend to agree that his reputation didn't seem to suffer much beyond the short term.

This seems both highly likely and very interesting.

Colour me encouraged.

I see Michele Clayborne is 'looking for new opportunities'

http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view...n_US&trk=tyah2

She notes herself as a 'trendspotter' - how ironic.

Why would they sign an American player that would not be able to play on the site?
Why would they continue wasting money in signing top players ?
Maybe Tapie has different plans.

As long as they don´t live in the USA it doesn´t matter.

Not many pessimists around atm. Any odd number is by definition someone who thinks the players won't be given the shaft.

Would love to get DTM's view and AnnAch's.
Since an odd number merely requires that players get some money, not necessarily all of it, I think it can include players being given the shaft, e.g. 5 cents on the dollar.

My score comes to either 1, 3, 9 or 11, depending on the meanings of 2 and 8.

If "situation concluded" means players are told how much money they will get back, then I add 2. If "situation concluded means that players will have received all the money they are going to get, know that they have receved it all, and all the legal process is complete, then I don't add 2.

If 8 means that I think that what I have learned here will lead me to believe that US regulation will be stronger than current regulation, then I add 8. What we've seen out of Nevada is better than anywhere else.

If it means (the more likely meaning) I think that the designers of US regulation will add things to US regulation that they would not otherwise have put into the regulations, specifically because of the FTP situation, then I don't add 8, because Nevada shows us that all necessary contingencies in that regard were already covered. I don't see other future regulation in the US being significantly more relaxed than Nevada's. In a sense, that makes me more optimistic than most people who will be adding 8, given this definition.

There was also that time he got mad at people for inquiring into whether or not Full Tilt had actually paid Haitian charities (for selfish reasons). That didn't do great things for his reputation.

If I were FTP2, I'd wait 3-4 years for him to grow up before considering signing him.

Time to uncover something new!
I, for one, appreciate the continued updates on the job search front. Knowing what they are - and are not - hiring might give some indication of their plans.

For instance, is any of their hiring inconsistent with an effort to modify the cashier to handle payouts to both RoW and US players? I think not, and it may be that their hiring is only for this purpose (Not sure about this. I haven't done a complete analysis of all the advertised positions.)

Is there any indication that they are working on adding a casino? I haven't noticed any.

Hmmm - it was only really meant to be a Sunday morning amusement. I appreciate it's a pretty blunt tool to dissect such a complex situation.

Looks like I'll have to create a model based on a hypercube in nine dimensions before I cover off all the outcomes.

Maybe I'll just wait a few weeks until it goes live - yay!

I know that but they are still American and Full Tilt no longer wants to be a US-centric site. They might be better off signing players from the countries they want to target the most.

Did anyone else have that homework in middle school where your English teacher would give you a sentence with tons of errors, and you had to find them all?

That's what the the quote reminds me of.
