It sure would make a lot of sense for GG. Making a dent on MTT stars schedule, now biggest Highstakes cash is on GG, if they promote this challenge on their site and stream it well it could be a great marketing event. They can even pay Polk and Negreanu to do it for sure.

Dnegs clearly has no interest in this challenge actually happening. Which is smart on his part as he's probably a huge dog against Doug at HUs up NL. Dnegs also seems to have a fragile ego and people with a fragile ego rarely want to put it at risk.

you don't actually have to be better then 2 people at a thing to make a reasonable estimation of which of the 2 are better at said thing.

Anyone can see it just from watching Negreanu play. The guy is simply not a good cash game player and I'd be surprised if he could even beat 100nl online, let alone one of the best heads up players in the world.

Ah ok, I'll just assume your a mid stakes + crusher who can evaluate these things. I had earlier made the mistake of attempting to evaluate his skill by his results in high rollers vrs some of the best players in the world, but if he isn't beating the brain dead drooler nits and spaz monkeys at 100nl online I will have to accede to your greater understanding. After all Polk did so well at those levels during his BR challenge.

Not that it matters mind you, he's a millionaire and will never play that level, but yeah, no chance he can.

100bb+ deep cash game skill is far more indicative of overall ability than ~20bb deep tournaments.

Lol all the 100NL grinders saying Dnegs can't beat it. He made some sophisticated videos for time about NLHE tournament play. I also thought his videos of high stakes mixed play were excellent both on PLO and limit games.

Obviously NLHE cash is maybe Dnegs worst game. Dnegs is noted for being really good with live reads, and Polk is a HU specialist and to NUNL player.

So it seems totally obnoxious for Polk to issue a challenge like this and Dnegs should not have initially accepted. What is this trying to push someone to play HU who doesn't want to?

You may say tournament poker isn't poker, but at least in tournaments you aren't directly taking money from the other player. However, this HU play seems like pool hustling.

No idea what point you’re trying to make with your last paragraph. Daniel isn’t being hustled at all, and your point about tournaments not directly taking money from players is so wrong it’s laughable.

He had a site VTPoker and made really good videos for it. I haven't watched his Masterclass. However, I don't think his NLHE theory is cutting edge at this point with GTO etc.

I would assume a small percentage of Dneg's play is NLHE cash.
