I am not sure why Dnegs didn't 3! AK and QQ in 2 spots. It makes his flatting range less predictable, but weakens his 3! range. He need some hands to gii preflop with. They could have gotten it preflop with AK versus JJ.

It does seem like his style. DP likes to keep firing and Dnegs likes to call.

So far DP doesn't need a Brinks truck. Pretty impressive that Dnegs is ahead 1/4 of the way to end early point. Dnegs should improve more than DP, so IMO his prospects are good at this point.

I think they're going the distance. Doug will never stop there, and at this point I don't think Daniel will either unless he crashes his 1.2MM roll, which seems unlikely in 9k hands.

True. The longer he can hold in the black, the closer this gets to coinflip territory. Still think Doug will take this in the end, but anything can happen.

Doug's style maximizes variance and hes already tilting after 4 buy ins. i wonder if he gets down 7-8 buy ins and we start seeing his micro stakes bankroll challenge level of tilting . i think when you tired of poker the tilt is multiplied exponentially especially when you think your just all around better in everyway than someone else. i think there is a real chance doug can lose this challenge even though its small .

Honestly, this is the first big HU battle I've followed since Durrrr vs. Isildur back in the day and I'm loving it. The shortish sessions make it even more intense and interesting.

Someone's got to organise a ranking system and turn this into an ongoing Cash Game World Championship-type thing for all the best HS HUNL players going around.

X amount of hands split into y amount of matches, create some kind of ratings system and take it from there. It's been too long since anyone has taken the WSOP Main Event winner seriously, this would be next level stuff.

To be fair there is practically no chance Doug is up against them after 3k hands either. This isn't the best in the world vs DNegs. This is a former best in the world who hadn't played HU for years vs DNegs.

When you say, “there’s no way”, I assume you mean a probability less than 7%. So this must mean that you estimate these guys to have a win rate north of 40BB/100 against DN. What makes you think these guys can have that big of an edge against DN?
