PPA: Preet, listen to me, you're sitting in a pile of FTP assets worth $200,000,000 dollars. Look, if we turn it in for AP/UB remission, we'll split the money, 60/40.....

Preet: [laughs] Who gets the 60 kid?

PPA: Well, I was figuring, since 2+2 players found the fraud first that...

Preet: [Pulls out a gun]

PPA: That you get it.

Rich - Any progress in regards to convincing DOJ we are victims eligible for remission?
12-16-2013 , 01:25 PM
What would the alternative be other than being victims??????? I know I deposited my hard earned money, spent my time grinding, paid my taxes, and I got burned for a small fortune. What would I be considered other than a VICTIM???????????

Greg Pierson Iovations phone number (503) 224-6010 Ext number 6703 This ******* was basically the brains behind the "God Mode" http://gregpiersoniovation.wordpress...e-smoking-gun/ and is a major factor why UB was in a tailspin since the cheating, and basically the reason we don't have our money. Guy has faced no heat bc he doesn't interface with the poker community. Trying to change that and I urge people to call/harass/ get answers from this moron! And if you haven't already check out SCOTT BELL'S (ELEVENGROVER) FILM ULTIMATE BEAT

Online poker was always a risky proposition. Especially when you factor in UB super users.

Yes it sucks they stole our money; but no it wasn't something out of left field.

Having 6 figures on the site that has known cheaters running it is on you.

Twoplustwo might be one of the largest poker forums, but not everyone uses poker forums. And I imagine there were alot players who were unaware of UB's history or current situation when they were playing.

It would be ignorant to assume every online player is looking at poker forums and poker news daily, while knowing everything about the websites they are playing on. Recreational players make a large percentage of the player pools dont they?

The whole idea of online poker was/is risky. At no point did anyone have any recourse if the sites just shut down and took the money. As we can plainly see now.

The reason sites didn't do that is because they were making money hand over fist.

The fact we didn't have 'any recourse' is ridiculous in itself. Makes me think the twoplustwo population could start a poker site, and pull the same 'stunts' to pay themselves back for all the BS. People walking away from this with cash and little to no penalty or punishment is rather embarrassing. I'm guessing things like this happen all the time, since it can be done, and nobody is held responsible.

No offense, just venting lol.

A) Can we text someone to go spill a soda on his head? I will throw $300 into the pot for this. (assuming he's a ub guy who stole money or something).

B) The hip- just STFU, you are such an annoying freaking dude. How much money did you lose in black friday? I'm guessing under 5k. I don't really know what your deal is, but you seem to be quite annoying. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about you- as I haven't been following this thread closely.

C) UB/AP Victim, it's by far time to become less emotionally attached to this whole scene. You are only hurting yourself at this point. Just because you lost a bunch of money doesn't mean a cheeseburger tastes any worse when you bite into it. The sun still shines outside, my niga

I lost a significant amount of money.

But I always knew that was a possibility.

I hope we get justice and get our money back; but I'm also a realist.

At least our injustice is getting money stolen from us by UB and not the Holocaust or being born a Tutsi.

No updates at the moment. There is really not a lot to be gained by pushing this issue with the DOJ in a repetitive manner.

Instead we are looking at the time frame after FTP remissions are complete.

At that point it is likely DOJ will still have a pile of money from the Stars settlement left over. Perhaps they can be convinced to work to make it available for an AP/UB remission.

Perhaps ...

I was under the impression that the PPA was going to try to convince the DOJ that AP/UB players were victims of a fraud (similar to FTP players) so that when that time comes, we are eligible for a remission in general. It is my understanding that we are not currently eligible for a remission, should funds be available...

There are plenty of sites that are still safe to play on but treating online poker as a bank always comes with a risk, people deposit and withdraw safely on different sites. Although the major sites are probably more safe than any micro sites.

What does "safe" mean?

There is a risk you will lose all the money in your account on any online poker site. That risk is pretty much guaranteed to be higher than the risk your will lose all the money you keep in any bank account. The risk increases for US-facing (but not US-licensed) sites, and for sites licensed only in Malta, Gibraltar, or Kahnawake. Sites licensed in Isle-of-Mann or by large national governments probably have the least risk.

I guess safe could mean the bungee cord or parachute, like when you go bungee jumping or skydiving.. something like that..
