Hopefully the DOJ realizes this is not the players' fault! We essentially had money stolen from all of us and we are STILL sitting here without any hope. I would hope we can all have faith in the Dept of Justice to make this right, but it is looking very glim....unfortunately.
You only get money if the company gives it to you, or if the government decides you are a victim of a crime for which they have brought charges and related to which they have seized assets.
AP/UB players are in the same boat as far as having their money stolen from them, but they are not in the same boat as far as how the US legal system has handled things.
Black Friday was not about players having their money stolen. BF was about the sites violating the UIGEA and lying to banks about player deposits. The reason FTP players are getting money back is that after BF, FTP cooperated with the government, allowing the government to gather evidence that FTP had defrauded players. Once the government had this evidence, they also charged FTP with fraud. FTP players are getting paid because they are victims of fraud for which FTP has been charged. AP/UB didn't cooperate as much, and the government has not brought charges against AP/UB alleging the defrauding of players. So according to the government, only FTP players are victims who qualify for compensation.
