I recommend that everyone send the DoJ respectful correspondence asking for help and for remission utilizing remaining FTP funds.

I disagree there should be a pre-written copy.

It would be helpful to post a couple email addresses to send to though

Hi Rich if you see this message can you please respond. In your talks with the Doj what exactly are they selling and who (if any) are potential buyers?? It's kinda hard to sell something with no spreadsheet or info as to what is being sold????? Can you please keep us updated and what can we do besides tweeting the Doj to get there attention?? It's the 4th quarter 3 seconds left we're at our own 3 yrd line and we're down 8 I'm not giving up hope!!!!!

Could you please let us know who to contact?
If you have a good email template to use, that'd be great too.

We should ALL do this!!

Rich Muny can ya please respond to last 2 posts.. And now is as good of time than ever to get the software and assets out for potential buyers with so many states getting legalized!! But the DOJ is moving slow as **** and everything seems to be hush hush

Can someone please explain this to me?
I don't understand why Full Tilt player are getting reimbursed while AP/UB players are not. Aren't they in the same boat? Why did the DOJ make a deal to distribute the Full Tilt funds back to players and not UB/AP.
Hopefully the DOJ realizes this is not the players' fault! We essentially had money stolen from all of us and we are STILL sitting here without any hope. I would hope we can all have faith in the Dept of Justice to make this right, but it is looking very glim....unfortunately.

Pokerstars bought Full Tilt, and part of the deal was Pokerstars had to pay for Full Tilt player reimbursement.

You only get money if the company gives it to you, or if the government decides you are a victim of a crime for which they have brought charges and related to which they have seized assets.

AP/UB players are in the same boat as far as having their money stolen from them, but they are not in the same boat as far as how the US legal system has handled things.

Black Friday was not about players having their money stolen. BF was about the sites violating the UIGEA and lying to banks about player deposits. The reason FTP players are getting money back is that after BF, FTP cooperated with the government, allowing the government to gather evidence that FTP had defrauded players. Once the government had this evidence, they also charged FTP with fraud. FTP players are getting paid because they are victims of fraud for which FTP has been charged. AP/UB didn't cooperate as much, and the government has not brought charges against AP/UB alleging the defrauding of players. So according to the government, only FTP players are victims who qualify for compensation.

Please understand that the reason that was posted is because the people who owned that site are friends with the AP people. Sorry, hope they didn't get your hopes up.

That's really been the root of this problem -- not much in terms of direct assets for remission. What I was discussing earlier was trying to get DoJ to use FTP funds for UB/AP remission.

The talks I had with Jason Cowley past 6 months are diff from what Ur saying

I apologize for not finding time to follow up on this but if someone wants, they can contact the Marshall service to determine what exactly they confiscated and a timeframe for when it might be auctioned off. I have no idea if any proceeds would be used for players but it would be helpful to know the disposition of any assets. The email below is for filing a Freedom of Information request as they wouldn't identify the asset list over the phone.

Sorry....I didn't mean to imply there's absolutely nothing. The question has been if there's enough for a substantial victim remission.

It's all good... Well I'm probally in the minority with 75k stuck on there so whatever % they can get would help me and my family out.. 10% of 75k is still $7500 which is about $6800 more than I currently have sitting in my bank acct
