Please read the story. He agreed to the sentence during the plea bargaining process. That's typical. By far the huge majority of cases are plea bargained between a DA and the defendant and his counsel.

He got off lucky.
The question is if he gets to serve the two sentences concurrently.

The joke in both sentences is the "restitution".

Probably sold bootleg Software. They are not too specific so word doesn't get out you can become a millionaire selling fake office CD's

It doesn't matter (unless this latest sentence runs consecutively instead of concurrently) since he's already doing 5 years in federal prison.

5 years - good time = 4.3 years.

He can also serve the last 12 months or 10% of his sentence, whichever is less, at a halfway house and after he completes half of his placement at a halfway house, he may be considered for the home incarceration program.

For the first charge that he was indicted for the penalty is 5-10 years.

https://legiscan.com/NJ/text/S740/id/917516

For the second charge that he was indicted for the penalty is also 5-10 years

http://njlaws.com/theft_by_deception.htm

For the third charge that he was indicted for the penalty is 3-5 years:

http://www.njlaws.com/criminal_mischief.htm

He was clearly guilty of all the charges and he would have faced 13-25 years if found guilty during a trial.

The citizens of New Jersey elect the legislators who decide the penalties for breaking their State Laws. It ain't me.

In the plumber's penal code, if you flush paper towels, or anything else beside the s$%t you should be flushing, they will charge you $100/hr to unclog your *****ter.

omg, great post and update.

LMAO on the 9K for plumbing at Harrahs.

Borgata prob shouldn't spend the money just yet. Lusardi will have to sell a pallet full of bootleg DVDs to make 400K !

final chapter to this greek tragedy.

I guess the real lesson is don't ever mess with casinos, I can probably think of 100 crimes worse than what lusardi did that wouldn't get a five year sentence.

Doubt he would have gotten 5 years if this was his first ever crime.

I never ask for cliffs and I NVG but this thread gets painful to read after the initial arrest.

1). Was it ever confirmed he was working alone

2). Was there ever an explanation for what his full intentions were (why he had so many extra chips still in hotel room, why color was so off, etc. I was always curious of the backstory of his plan)

3). What was borg's final remedy to players

I believe that in New Jersey, once one third of a sentence is served, the inmate is eligible for parole. He probably has enough time in to be considered for release. It's a non-violent offense so release is pretty standard assuming good behavior.

Nothing to see here.
