Hi

I have a source that works for the Government that is in the know for the remission process.

I am not sure if a company has been selected yet, but it is very close. All accounts that show a US address as of June 29th, 2011 must apply for the refund.

The remission process has been finalized and the balances of players will be refunded in whole assuming all conditions are met.

1: Must confrim your name and address by providing copies of Government Photo ID and Social Security number.

2: Submit your player account information including screen name, email account, estimated account balance, name and address of the account.

3: Remission process will start with balances over $5,000 and if the account is in order, then its expected it will take about 10 days to have a cheque issued.

4: Player balances have been adjusted to reflect both withdraws and deposits that were not completed.

Items that can delay your refund

1: Change in address

2: If your account received transfers dating back to Jan 1st, 2010, then it must be confrimmed that the other account holder actually had the money and was not the result of deposits that did not clear.

3: If you do not remember the email account connected with the players account.

4: ID is not properly submitted.

I would guess you are going to be very pissed then. You must not deal with the US government very much. Asides from being extremely unorganized and inefficient they have no incentive what so ever to get this thing done in a hurry. They go at their own pace. And trust me, it is a very slow pace indeed. You will be waiting a very long time.

I would love to believe this, but there's like a 0% chance we're going to run this good and get our money back that fast...

And it doesn't help you just created an account... But if somehow true TY obv.

First they deal with accounts over $5,000 and when thats done, they move onto the next group. Not sure but I beleive it was $1,000 to $5,000.
09-26-2012 , 01:52 PM
Of course that is true and exactly as expected really.

Glad all the disaster tourists can move to another thread now.

If this is all true then what is the role of the company that is getting hired? I'm confused as to how there can be such specific details while they are still possibly looking for a company.

Thats actually pretty simple to answer. The DOJ wants the plan in detail to make sure that the company they hire can do exactly as the DOJ wants. You think that they were just going to hire a company and not know what they wanted accomplished? That wouldve been kind of dumb dont ya think?

Thought I read that the FT rep said that tokens, Ironman Medals, and bonuses were converted to FTPoints. Any word on if FTPoints were converted to $$?

09-26-2012 , 02:05 PM

09-26-2012 , 02:05 PM

Yes

I guess it would make plenty of sense for this to happen with the order of accounts over $5k being dealt with first. For the fact of the matter that the smaller accounts, most of those guys are going to say F it anyway and im assuming after (hypothetically) 120 days, those accounts will be considered "dead" and the DOJ pockets that money. So if the accounts with under $5k were dealt with first and had a timeline of say that 120 days and the 3rd party had to wait 120 to clear out that "level" of accounts before they were claimed "dead" that would slow all of the account holders down 120 days with the less than $5k balances. So it would make perfectly logical sense for this to happen that way. Seemingly as the bigger account holders will move pretty fast to get this taken care of.

^^

That, and accounts over 5K are prolly like 5% of total accounts, but 95% of balances...

Thats a staggering statistic! But yeah now that you say that I do remember GBT saying that too.

Does it seem like atleast 50% of us may see some of the money around the same as the ROS players?
09-26-2012 , 02:46 PM
What does ROS stand for? Rest of suckers?

Assuming you meant ROW but the answer is no. There is a close to zero % chance we will see payouts around the same time as ROW has access to their funds. Even Xmas is wishful thinking IMO.

Who is chinamaniac?

I'm a friend of someone who knows what is going on. Someone emailed in complaining about the delays and linked a thread on this site.
Anyways, for what it is worth, you should hear something shorty as in a few weeks.

Yes, sorry guys.... i did mean ROW, sorry the W key is right above the S key. Just finger slipped.

I think that we will be submitting paperwork to get our funds back (of course, if all of this is true), within about the same time as FTP2 opening up.

Just hope youre right mr eli... youll get some grief if not! lol, just a warning.

One last question... as soon as this on the site are we going to find a date as to when we can apply for remission or is it going to start that day?
