GBT then wants to leave some people in the ROW stuck some $ that they can get back by playing on FTP2 which the DOJ, for some reason, objects to.

I think the only reason DOJ objects to it out of the blue is that they got a much better deal from PS so DOJ wanted to get rid of GBT.

Of course GBT was serious. I'm sure they racked up 7 figures of expenses doing due diligence. Sounds like their proposal to the DOJ was fair but Stars came in and trumped them.

Wow stars is absurdly shrewd. They settle up with the DOJ, only have to pay a fraction of that huge fine and Isai avoids his legal issues with the U.S. They also now completely dominate the market and have infinite good will with the players. I'm happy for everyone who is getting their $ back, but as others have said, Stars having a complete monopoly on the industry is problematic going forward IMO.

I believe the stars owner has / have had many accounts on 2p2, and have even been known to use multiple accounts in the same topic, with one account quoting and aknowledgning posts and points made by one of the other accounts

Worrying about a monopoly is pure bs. THERE ARE OTHER SITES OUT THERE! They won't be a monopoly.. they will just be huge because they are the best damn company out there. That tends to be what happens. If they start to **** things up, they won't be as huge anymore, and someone else will be.

They don't care at all. They just used this as a easy excuse to get rid of GBT so they can get the better deal from PS.

The DOJ won't be saying this. The DOJ does not have the ability to repeal UIGEA. Sorry, that's not their purview. At present, there is no US market to re-enter.
