Sarcasm flying over head.. What an apt choice of words. Why don't you think about that and re-read the tweet.

Does anyone know how many people were pre registered for today's 1C ME flight ?

Could someone ask KevMath on Twitter if he knows ?

Any numbers available on how many people are currently registered for today's 1C flight ?

Does anyone know the specifics of the hand near the end of Day 1B yesterday?

Aces vs. Kings pre-flop? Kings had around 40,000 and went busto.

Thanks.

Have any celebrities or sports stars shown up to play. Without sponsorships I imagine the number has dwindled. People like NBA player Paul Pierce still play because he's an actual poker player. He was frequently seen at the Parx Casino when the Celtics were playing in Philadelphia.

3. 14k is better than 0k, which I'm assuming is your stack size.

4. 14k is still a healthy stack considering the tournament.

5. At least they support Jaime.

6. Something about a grease fire.

7. GL Jaime
I'm a supporter of Jaime. I hope he ships the ME. But, that doesn't make a 14k stack (which is prolly 33% of the average stack) a "healthy" stack at the end of day one. I'm not saying that he's dead either...but I've never referred to a less than half starting stack at the end of any stage of any tournament a "healthy stack." Also, Jivaro is current running a free beta HUD that doesn't include any of the advanced stats that are essential for having a HUD in the first place. They will be releasing a "Pro" version that includes advanced stats for a fee...which is why they'd bother trying to get a retweet from Jaime in the first place (exposure). IMO, their exposure attempt failed. I found this comical; thought I would share it; instead turns into people thinking that I don't like Jaime, etc etc..

I will go away. But, I wouldn't call a 35 bb stack (at day 2) healthy in a mega-ultra-super deep stack tourney such as the ME..to each his own. I'll ead n gtfo

But you would consider it healthy in a shallow stack tourney?

I'd imagine the usual suspects will play (Romano, Pierce, the other Everybody Loves Raymond guy).

It all depends on the average stack, blind level, general structure, etc. I don't judge the quality of a stack solely on how many bbs it has. Say you have 5k starting...you lose 4.1k the first hand. You have 900 chips left, the blinds are 15/30...sure you have 30 bbs, but considering everything else...that's not healthy. And that's the last thing I'll say.

After 2 days of WSOP Main event, a big day 3 is needed to reach 6500+ entries. If we only have 6,000 entries, here is a suggested payout and what the payout would be if they did not pay the top 9 a million under "normal" years BUT also paying out 1,000 places.

Note only 5 places pay less in the suggested payout and 885 pay more. Final 9 still get a generous 39% of the total prize pool. The big drops in the top 3 are not so bad when you consider the tax rate is 40% on those winnings. So the 1.5 million drop in 1st is only 900k after taxes. Putting this money lower on the payouts into the 10-25% tax brackets saves over $2 million in taxes or over $2,000 per cashing player!

There is a big final table bubble difference when 9th get 1 million, but 10th is still more than it would be under the "normal" payout.

I will post a follow-up showing a likely WSOP payout with 6,000 players, with 1 million to top 9, and 1000 places paid. They will/should clearly have to drop 1st from 7.99 million as well.

I thought tax is at 30%?

Are your winnings Taxed as "normal income" both for amateur and pros, therefore the " tax rate" is variable based on a person's other income ?

Brad Garrett is indeed in the house for 1C. Haven't seen Pierce or Ray but i would imagine they're in it somewhere, and probably James Woods as well.

Ok, here is an apples to apples likely payout for the 2015 main event with 6,000 entries vs. a slightly flatter suggestion..

Note the suggested payout pays 26 players less money but 863 players more money.

I could of sworn that the structure sheet yesterday said that it was 8 Million guaranteed for first and final table at least 1 million if entrants meet or exceed 2014 numbers.

I've just double checked @ wsop.com and the 8 million part has been taken out!?!

Apparently Aaron Paul is playing. I remember he was there during the Main Event last year. He wasn't even playing, but people were pretty pumped up about him even showing up. Would obv. be a pretty big deal if he goes deep.
