I know, but how can someone lose 150bb with J10 like that? He 3bet preflop, hit the dream flop and then keep check calling, including calling the overbet on the river for his tournament life? That's just... bad.

was just mentioning for people who didn't know what Brian had

Yes, it's bad. Seemed like it was a psb otr. 100k in on turn, 36k in on flop and 42k in pre = 178k. Report said around 200k, not that it was 200k so who knows how much of an overbet it was. Regardless, calling off nearly 100bbs w/Jack no kicker is just throwing your tourney away.

All brian had on turn was a pair of 6 so technically the guy didn't get it in bad. Brian got lucky.

Well lucky.. he had around 14 outs, which is good to keep pressure when the other guy keeps checking. If he misses, I doubt he bets 200k in 150k.

I'm assuming from lack of mention of them that Sauce and Galfond are gone?

are you getting those numbers from wsop.com? because they don't list all players in the chip count. chip count just has around 200 names listed. lots of no-names that have had no live update reported about them won't be there at all

It's hard not to root for Hastings now. Imagine the attention and questions he'll be fielding if he wins. Imagine the backlash to online poker afterwards.

It would be pretty big news over here if he did go super-deep. He's already getting some write-up's in the media.

Though it's pretty hilarious when the non-poker media tries to do a poker piece.

While Warnie's chances of makes the FT certainly aren't hurt by his current standing, your average person who isn't into poker is going to read that and probably think he's a better than 50% chance now to make it.

Hellmuth Takes a Hit

Phil Hellmuth's chip stack is around 50,000 chips lighter following a hand against Ajay Chabra in which Chabra flopped a set of fives against Hellmuth's top-pair, top-kicker. Chabra check-called bets from Hellmuth on the flop and turn. Hellmuth held and the board was . When another queen hit the river, Chabra checked and Hellmuth put out a river bet of 35,600. Chabra called immediately and turned over his boat.

Hellmuth had a mini-blowup of sorts, most of which was directed to the dealer.

Phil Hellmuth - 120,700
Ajay Chabra - 174,200
What a little bitch. Phil had AQ on a Q5xxQ board.

If there was a standard deviation graph of run good, Hastings would be off the chart.

Who the f**k is doing updates? This is 100% unacceptable.

Do we have NBA commentators saying "Lebron Janes"?

If Hastings wins this, the best thing the WSOP can do is hang a picture of Noel Hayes in the Amazon Room next year.
