I don't consider America in a race against Brazil despite the fact America is leading them.
America must be compared to other 1st World Nations, and not 3rd world countries or tiny island nations with no real health care that were devastatingly hit.
I know that some Trumpists will resort to pointing at those nations, and somehow suggesting the US is not doing so bad because "look Brazil" but that would be truly nutty, even for them.
