Did the Pence talking thru the moderator's objection about 20 times in the debate, 3 or 4 times often per question ... did that grate on anybody as obnoxious and rude? It did me. Of course knowing he is a statue of repression and stiffer and less flexible than a steel rod is the real problem.

So do people find the way that Pence speaks confident and dignified? Or does it come off as smug and condescending? He is using all his experience as a conservative white man and former radio talk show host to attempt the former but I only get a sense of the latter.

But if we live in a country where 40% of the population thinks that Trump is a strong, confident, successful business man then I assume they would think that Pence is confident and dignified when he speaks.

After a while I started counting them and the high was 7 'Thank you Mr. Vice Presidents' before Pence stopped talking while completely ignoring her.

That debate changed nothing, on to the next 24 hr news cycle. I'm predicting Trump bites the head off a bat within the next two cycles.

Chiefsplanet of course thinks Pence curb-stomped her. But then again there is literally no scenario where they think a black woman wins a debate with a white man. None.

Debate was a boring, uneventful stalemate.

Diehard Republicans will say Pence won, diehard Democrats will say Kamala won, and everyone in between will laugh at fly memes for a couple days and then forget the debate ever happened.

A lot on the left seem surprised or disappointed that Kamala didn't go for the jugular but there really is no reason to take that kind of risk. You don't run a fake punt when you're up 14 in the 4th quarter. You just punt the ball, play defense and run the clock out.

Boring is good if you're the Biden camp.
