Maybe in leftwing terms the power isn't equivalent, as if you want to change society in a novel way introducing something, that's quite hard for SCOTUS compared to POTUS (or congress). SCOTUS would have a hard time deciding financial resources should be spent for X if they aren't already (with some exceptions).
But in terms of controlling what other entities with power can do, which is the main concept of power i use, SCOTUS is completly unmatched.
Having the last word about what anyone with power is allowed to do with that power with no exception and nothing above you is quite absolute power in that negative sense.
