I just tried logging into Cake for the first time in a couple months and it said it's illegal for me to wager there. It seemed like a small scale problem (when I searched 2p2 for similar issues). I hope everything's okay. Maybe I SHOULD be getting my money out of there pronto. eeks.

I'm from IL.

Apparently despite being 6 hours from KY, my IP shows up as being from there. Okay. Whatever.

Carry on.

Okay, I'll bite - how many "legit" adults accounts are shut down every year out of sheer moral concerns?

And what is your source for this info?

I am looking to cashout of Cake but am wondering the best way to minimize fees. I'm looking to cashout around $700 and am not too keen on paying a $35 fee. I can cashout at PS and FTP, what are the fees using ewalletxpress or usemywallet? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I was denied a QT invitation. What sites accept the ewalletxpress deposit method. If i withdraw from cake >> ewallet and deposit on another site are there any fees?

UB/Absolute that I know of. But, you'll probably have to play a bit at the other site b4 you can get your money out.

And in most cases, whatever you deposit using a particular method, you must withdraw at least that much through the same method before you can withdraw another way, unless they've changed that.

Okay.

I requested a paper check yesterday from Cake. It said the processor is down for US players until Jan 5, but it took the request. I'm hoping that means it'll go through on the 5th and we'll see what happens then.

Plan of action is to drop it off in a Wells Fargo ATM for deposit. I'll keep everyone updated.

Hi guys, I just requested a check from Cake for the first time, deposited about a week ago and already verified the documents. I live in Canada, has anybody heard of the checks bouncing for Canadian residents? Am I better off setting up a moneybookers account and withdrawing with that? Thanks

I know personally of one case. My friend runs the largest tube porn site out there...I won't name it, but I'm sure you've all "used" it. Anyway, the banks ran from him like a leper when they found out he was looking for an account to store his porn earned cash (and I mean A LOT of cash).

In the end he found one that was porn friendly....but most are not!

Banks are hypocrites.

What name are you referring to? The bank I'm using or did you mean not to tell the bank where the check is from?

How would I tell them it's from poker if I'm dropping it off in an ATM?

The check is supposedly on its way as of Jan 4. Who knows.

DO NOT DO THIS. Deposit at a teller. It is Wells Fargo's policy not to accept foreign checks through the ATM. I just went through this a month ago. Just say you sold something on Ebay or do online consulting work if they ask, but they didn't even ask me.

Any updates on their new check vendor? My last check in December cleared within one day at Bank of America. I just requested another check last night and was wondering after reading the last page or so.

Wow thanks a lot. As I was understanding it, banks were being way more likely to take it through there. I'm surprised.

Anyway, thanks. I plan to just say I do online consulting if asked. Shrug. I still haven't gotten the check though. Only got processed on the 3rd or 4th though.

Jan 1: Check requested
Jan 3: Check processed by Cake
Jan 12: Check received by DHL courier. Nice lady.

Going to try and deposit it today at a Wells Fargo.
Going to tell them either online consulting or video game server hosting. We'll see how I feel.

I'll keep everyone updated.

Jan 13: Deposited at a Wells Fargo with no questions asked. Slight hangup about it not going through, but then another teller said "Run it 21" or something and it went off fine.

We'll wait and see when it is officially in the system, but everything looks good so far.

I withdraw and it was processed on 1-6-09, via QT like I do every month. This time I got this email:

Quote:
Thank you for contacting the QuickTender Settlement Department.

We are sorry to inform you but your withdrawal (ordered on 05/01/2009, USD xxxx) has returned back to us.

The reason given by the bank is:

Beneficiary bank is unable to apply funds stating the fed wire is invalid.
What should I do?

Just $500, so obviously the minimum small check. Good question.

I wanted to track this because I know if I had something like this a couple months ago I would have felt a lot better about it. Good question though. I can't speak to how much trouble you'll receive on the higher end checks of tens of thousands of dollars.

No longer pending according to my online account. Seems to have gone off without a hitch. I'll miss Cake's soft tourneys, but I just got too scared with them trying to ban me for being from Kentucky...when I'm from Illinois.
