ewalletxpress is quick and easy you just get raped in fees. costs 10%, but if you withdraw the max which is 2500$ you only get charged $150. when i requested a check from cake i got charged at least 100$ in fees overall, not to mention it took 2 ****ing months to clear finally

@dwiele

all cashout options at cakepoker are a ripoff!

So we need the cashout options to a credit card.

Feb 3 10:30 am PST: Bank accepts check with only minor raised eyebrows (verified check was in USD, then deposited it -- funds were available for immediate withdrawal).

Anybody try a Cake Poker check with either Pentagon Federal or Armed Forces bank?

I play on cake regularly. The 35 dollar fee is only for your SECOND withdrawal of the month. First withdrawal of the month is always free of charge via check.

Is this true that there's no fee for the first check withdrawal in a month? Their FAQ says it's $35 even for the first withdrawal, and minimum of $500 withdrawal.

There are no fees on the first withdrawal on sportsbook and playersonly. Cake does charge 35 for all checks.

I just cashed out my first check ever from cake and got charged the $35 fee. I decided to withdraw my whole roll.. not enough traffic on the site and the software is mediocre. The tourneys were soft, and cash games ok, but just not enough players for my liking. Only a few tables of PLO going and lots of the same players on all the time.

I'll post an update in this thread when I get the check.

DHL guy came the other day with an envelope. The address looked like this:

"Random guys name that isn't me"
My name
My address

Inside was a $4,000 check for some guy who wasn't me.

Cake send out the following email:

Hello Adam,

Please be aware that due to a technical error by our Check Processor, some recent checks have been sent to an incorrect address. We are fully aware of this issue and all checks involved have been cancelled and will be re-issued to the correct customer and delivered to the correct address. We are currently in the process of correcting this error and this should only result in a slight delay in you receiving your funds. If you receive a check intended for another customer, we would appreciate it if you destroyed it as it is already been cancelled and is no longer negotiable.

We certainly apologize for this inconvenience and are working hard to resolve this as quickly as possible. Your patience is appreciated.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Kind Regards,
Sam.

Bah. This is why I cashed out everything from cake. I might play there again sometime in the future, but for now their site needs to make a lot of improvements IMHO.

Hey man you have a typo here. Cake did not charge you $30. LIke almost all online poker sites there is no charge for cashing out to eWallets. If Cake charged you $30 for cashing out to QT please show us. I use QT, Neteller and MoneyBookers for cashing out fro Tilt, Cake, Stars and other European based sites and have never been charged by any poker site for cashing out to any of these eWallets.

I've been playing at Doyle's Room so I was assuming the withdrawals there are the same as on Cake. I requested a check via FedEx 2/9/09 and as of today, 2/16/09, it is still under review. Anyone else have this problem on Doyle's Room? Little crazy considering they charge $50 for the FedEx delivery. I would have deposited on Cake instead if I knew that they processed checks faster. Figured since they are on the same network now that the withdrawal time would be the same.

No.. Cake and their skins use totally different processors. Back when people were having a bunch of problems getting money from sportsbook.com, cake was handling check cashouts just fine.

Update - Got my check 2/17.

DHL left the envelope ON MY FRONT PORCH STEPS. Never heard the doorbell ring, just left the envelope on the front porch steps on a busy residential street in the middle of the day.

Thanks DHL, well done. That $35 check fee goes far.

Bank had no problems cashing the check for $1800.. needed manager approval, but there were no questions asked.
