They actually fixed but I have to agree with you. When you said betcoin didn't have its ducks lined up or something to that effect I left that day. Sorry for the derail.

To get back on topic seals is having a blowout december promo well worth checking out.

Yeah it is kind of annoying that they are doing absolutely nothing for the cash game players. I guess they probably figure promos are better spent on donkaments from a perspective of trying to increase traffic. At least some of the coin from the tourny promos/freerolls will inevitably end up in ring games....
12-11-2014 , 09:38 PM
Cash game players are allowed to play in the freerolls.
12-11-2014 , 09:44 PM
Obviously, but some of us don't like tournaments. I'm not looking to get into an argument about the promo as anything to get some more life on the site is good. It just would've been cool if they had done something specifically for the cash games too.

Also look at the 150k krill freeroll. This is the real value one. 5k chips paid out to the top 6 and usually only 17 runners every month. Out of those 17, maybe 7 tops are regular cash grinders who have rescued this site, dissonance, ern, seal123, ect. Guys who put in tens of thousands of hands every month for the past year consistently and kept the site alive during the darkest times. On most other start up sites those players would be considered "prop" players and get a very good rakeback deal (at least 80% rakeback). For example, if you sign up with the right affiliate on Betcoin you get 100% rakeback.
Then you have 10 guys who haven't played even 1000 hands in the past 12 months but got 150k krill when grinding NL1000 was NL2 in $usd.

Point is, if they don't give us prop level rakeback, there should at least be a freeroll every month that depends on current monthly krill levels. In other words a good value tourney every month for the regulars who pay at least 2000 chips + in rake every month. If every player who paid 2000+chips /month in rake stopped playing, Seals would be finished. It is past time to throw them some extra support no?

Yeah, i have for a bunch of their krill freerolls or whatever from playing ring games. I havent really even looked into them tbh. I wish they had more promos for cash games.

If I buy bitcoin from circle.com, do I transfer them directly from Circle into SWC? Or does it pass through an intermediary first? I read on Circle's terms that poker isn't allowed.

  • Download a free Bitcoin wallet from Multibit or Electrum
  • Buy some Bitcoin from Circle
  • Transfer the Bitcoin from Circle to your wallet address

Have you seen my poll on the effectiveness of Bitcoin poker on restoring internet poker in prohibited jurisdictions?

Dang, I hadn't actually read Circle's terms before but you're right, poker is in there.

Quote:
Using the Services to make the following types of payments is prohibited, and Circle reserves the right to monitor for payments that relate to:

-games of skill that may be classified as gambling (i.e. poker)
Seals seems to use different deposit and withdrawal addresses so it should be more difficult for Circle to know that it's poker related... but yeah I'd still recommend doing what VP$IP said just to be safe.

I got this message "AdminSeals: Dear Players Please Update to our New Poker ClientDownload Link:http://*******/u3cbPb" on one (and only one) of my tables today. Was thinking it was likely a phishing attempt of sorts. Anyone know?

Yeah almost for sure some sort of trojan or phishing attempt, was going around posting links in random tables chats---if it was an admin why wouldnt they just post a notification somewhere.
