Obviously the BB would then win the hand. But I don't think it's a good idea. Would just make games nittier. Now fish has to wait when in BB, suppose people in early positions take a lot of time. Now I raise on the button and the fish thinks "screw it, might as well take a flop now with my J4suited".

Haha, this reminds me of a situation in a live tourney this weekend. We're down to final 15 and the guy on my right gets a one-orbit penalty for his cards being exposed. They were super anal about it and if your cards caught wind, they gave you an orbit penalty.

So he's in the BB, it folds to the SB who just shows the dealer his cards and mucks. Dealer starts pushing the pot to the BB since the SB didn't even complete and mucked. SB goes nuts and there's a huge discussion and the floor finally rules that the BB didn't have cards and was on a penalty, that the SB gets the pot.

Can someone explain to me why the nitty state of the game is a bad thing? Surely it enables you to go from getting value to running people over pretty easily if you just adjust.
