So far in this thread there seems to be around 3 people posting how stars was great and did nothing wrong and then everyone else who thinks they're getting ripped off.

Really the argument boils down to "shut up, we're lucky we're getting anything at all" vs "we want the full balance of our accounts".

I still think the only thing up for argument is the value of an FPP. Stars should have cashed out every last FPP instead of leaving up to $24 of value in everyones account.

the argument ur making on changing the "rules" is invalid sinner. stars gave out .016 for their Washington players when they got banned from playing on US. they are the one changing things and not doing what they set as their precedent.

with that said,

you hoarded FPPs and were not supernova. you're an idiot and you need a tampon.
i don't think this is fair. if Stars in the past paid out .016 to banned players in the US from Washington, why shouldn't we expect them to do it again?

I need some help/advice. I was mainly a FT player. However, I did play on Stars for about a month last year. I want to see how many points I have and redeem them. That said, I have a new computer and needed to download the Stars software again. I was only able to do this on pokerstars.net Unfortunately, I don't seem to have access to the cashier or my FPP balance. Any advice?

PokerStars reserves the right to terminate or amend VIP Club program membership and benefits at its sole discretion and at any time.

No more complaining.. PS changed the terms. Deal with it.

And anyone who considers playing there going forward should understand that and keep in mind they aren't unlike other sites that change terms and conditions when they see fit/it benefits them.

hey now it's come full circle to the comparing what they've done thus far to full tilt and cereus.

I can't cash out my FPP money. I had only enough to buy a $25 "award", which does show up in my cashier. But when I try to cash it out, it says checks are a minimum $100. When I choose direct transfer and enter my bank acct info, it takes me back to the front page, which tells me checks are a minimum $100.

pig - That is correct. If you have FPP's at less than $100 in your account then Stars will not let you have it. It's a pretty poor policy.

Last week my local supermarket was offering 2 chickens for the price of 1. This week the offer is gone.

I was going to spend 500 loyalty points on that offer.

I've worked out that my points are worth .004 chickens. Now they're only worth .002

That's just not fair. They've stolen a chicken from me.

Really? Your comparing PS's perceived unfair conversion of FPPs to FT and UB not paying???

I guess we will find out if the masses boycott PS because of this, "UNFAIR CONVERSION" if they get to come back into the US market.

I'm betting they won't and all you haters will agree with that also.

haha YES.

i think im just gonna quote this any time somebody tries to say that they should get 1.6c/FPP in a vacuum, or they should get that cuz it was once possible to do so.

i guess i dont know how to include quotes within quotes, but i hope you understand my statement was not directed at you. your situation is a very rare one but it sounds like you've already figured it out.

giving WA players .016 was certainly nice but it does not oblige them to give all americans .016 on their points.

The last ten or so posts is a circle jerk of stupidity that makes one wonder if astroturfing is going on here.

Guys, please get with the discussion. Absolutely nobody is discussing Stars' legal options. It is quite clear from the terms of service that Stars can burn their loyalty program anytime they wish to the detriment of the players. What is being argued is what should be done, and that the decision that Stars has made is not fair to the players. Fair and legal are not the same thing.

Your arguments are: 1) Fpps aren't money so you aren't owed anything; 2) Stars has done way better than FT or UB so you are lucky to get anything. Number two is complete garbage, number one is valid only legally, and that is not the discussion except for the Fabulous Five who curiously post 588 to 593 within an hour with nobody responding except the insular Circle Jerk Crew.

Stars are no longer allowed real money play in the US, they can no longer offer tournament tickets. What's unfair about that?

Stars have always had a set tariff for the exchange of FPPs. Why would you expect to be able to exchange partial amounts for anything?

Explain why you think all your FPPs should be worth 0.16c?

And maybe nobody has replied because they're all in bed or that they actually realise no injustice has been done by Stars.

And yes I agree, anybody who disagrees with your irrational logic is a jerk.

why should stars give everybody the .016 rate? cuz it has happened before? because you feel entitled? it would defeat the purpose of the vip program.

Players with VIP statuses higher than BronzeStar will have until at least May 31, 2011 to purchase VIP Reward Bonuses that require advanced status.

Can someone explain this? I'm going to buy the goldstar bonus for $300 and silverstar for $50. But does that mean i have to buy it by May 31st?
I'm a supernova till next year. Does that mean i can still buy the cash bonus anytime i want? My status does not expire until next year though. I'm assuming its those people who are platinumstar and below that has to buy it before may 31st because those statuses last only 1 month otherwise they have to purchase all the bonuses at the $25 bronze level?

Am i correct here?
