It seems ive been scammed by kjwinning i have made serval trades with this user over the last few weeks i always sent first never had any problems until yesterday. we agreed to to trade my 246 netspend for his 285 acr. he sent me a pm saying he was ready to trade. so i sent on netspend but he never sent back on acr after serval pms and waiting over night ill assume he is scamming me. he also played in the tourneys last night on acr after the trade should have been completed.

Looks like my 2+2 account was hacked earlier today I wasn't aware of this until now working on it with MOD to figure out exatly what happened.

It would be pretty damn easy for someone to fake a hacking in order to scam if somebody with half a reputation decided to go that route. This way it at least blocks them from doing it in the future and discourages any current member to go down that road.

Not saying anyone has done that but it's definitely a reason to not just reinstate accounts when it appears it was hacked.

Plus, if I was one of the persons scammed I'd be pretty pissed if the guy with the easy password didn't have some sort of punishment for costing me hundreds/thousands.

There is no evidence that the 2+2 account of B1GSA5H was hacked.
He denies making posts and arranging a trade but it clearly was done from his present location.
There are no new or unusual IPs in his recent posting history.

B1GSA5H informed me that his Lock account was hacked and $380 is missing.

His B1GSA5H Lock account shows a ptp record from earlier today of a small step up in stakes, a loss of $300 on 1 table and a drop down to normal with a further $200 in losses spread out over a number of tables.

I shipped $100 to alex.agadzhanov@gmail.com (B1GSA5H) at 10:15 EST with the agreement that would send GDMP 2-3 hours later. I sent 2 PMs today that went unanswered, until RW was able to contact him, after which he replied with a story that his account had been hacked. I've contacted Lock support and am awaiting reply.

I have a card called PayPal load money. It's something that various retailers sell. It seems to work exactly the same as Green Dot money pack in that users can just load it, using the code that I give them, right onto Paypal.

I would like to offer a trade in the Internet poker/ internet poker forum, in the trades thead with this as the payment method. Is that acceptable?

I honestly don't know about the one you're asking about now except to say: 1st page of its thread says you're not supposed to post there unless you're well known to the people in that thread & that I would venture to guess that at the very least, technically you're not supposed to trade w/Paypal there either. PM one of the mods of that thread if you insist on opening the door for someone to rip you off would be my advice.

with this card, you would not be risking getting ripped off. It doesn't seem reversible, compared to a peer to peer transfer. Again, this thing is exactly like Greendot (as far as I can tell) except that Greendot is not printed on the card.

I looked it up shortly, and the load money card seems to be a new thing that paypal launched. It does seem to work just like a money pak/load card but still one of the main answers for not using Paypal on here is from Paypal

So I think it would still fall under that. You would be using Paypal services in a way they don't allow according to their terms.

I believe it would still be unacceptable to trade with on here, given it's from Paypal. I am not sure if there would be anyway to reverse it (filing a claim etc...) but still given that you are using Paypal services, I would say it's not allowed on here for trades.

Amazon is still being traded with on here, and technically allowed, but it has been found to be reversible. Caution should be taken when using it.

In light of all these accounts being hacked or "hacked" how difficult would it be for sites to implement an automated texting system for transfers made over x dollars?

I have no idea about these sorts of things or how expensive they would be to implement but it seems like it should be relatively easy and would save a lot of hassle for security teams on sites using it.

All sites including 2+2 could have a user option restricting log in locations.

Poker sites could have
-- a "no-transfers without 24 hour notice" option
-- as fsu suggests, special approval needed for +$xx transfers
-- a separate, special trading password
-- stop-loss or table limit options requiring a time delayed notice to change these
- many more safety options


I don't recall any account hacks for those with Security Tokens.
