Do you resize tables at all? In my experience that is at lleast partly what sets off the lag.

Yea but until they fix the focus stealing issues that should have been fixed a million years ago it's impossible to multitable a bunch without resizing.

FFS party bill.. get party to get rid of these popups.. nobody cares about the 300k donkament.. Isnt advertising in the chat enough???
I put out an update to Party Cashgame Tools in the software forum that should get rid of the donkament popups. Unfortunately I haven't been playing yet when they have come on since adding it....

I have been kicked off all the waitlists twice in the first 5 minutes of my session today. I hate these days.

The Points Mean Cash promotion started on 27-JUN-2008 and will end at 23:59 ET on 26-JUL-2008.

Please read our Terms
So now I finished round 1 of the freeride promo.

Can I opt in for point means cash, then when that finished 27 July opt in for another round of the freeride?

Yeah good question. Bill only said you can do one at a time but what if you do one after the other?

Anybody else still getting the lag today? Seems a bit better now, but was really bad earlier for me.

Also, where do all the $22 players keep going at this time? I was assuming it was the European Cup that was causing it before, but that's stopped now and the 6pm GMT "dip" is still happening... Very strange.

Terrible lag tonight, and just as it was worst - the MTT-popup appeared... It took like 3 minutes before it was gone again, and caused me to time out at least twice.

Yep, I'm stopping for tonight - the lag is making it too hard to play and I've timed out a couple of times too (once holding AA... ).

That blasted tourney popup is a disaster for anyone who crosses it's path I had to change the download for Party Cashgame Tools if you downloaded it to try to eliminate the popup, the amendment is in the thread- just get rid of the thing PartyBill....

You are eligible for one or the other; not both.

Unfortunately, you have to note how many points you start with and then track from there. Putting a counter in would have delayed getting this promo out to you guys.

I guess Tourney Manager can give total rake for the period and just double that to get PPs for SNGs. If you play cash, you're SOL I guess.

After seeing the comically titled thread: "How much worse are your Stars tables thanks to double VPPs?", I'm beginning to wonder how much the "Free Ride" and "Points To Cash" promotions are costing Party players.

I took a quick look at the 11 SNGs today and was pretty horrified to see the totally unsustainable number of Russians and Brazilians playing in them... There are about 4-5 Russians/Brazilians in every $11 SNG, with the worst having 7! WTF are they all doing? There is no way the games can sustain that many winning/breakeven players; from experience <1% of Russians/Brazilians encountered in SNGs are fish and the "4-5 Russians/Brazilians in every SNG" doesn't account for all the decent/breakeven Germans on top of that! All I can think is that they must be all grinding it out for the rakeback...

I was gonna think about doing the "Free Ride" again in August, but now I'm thinking the most +EV choice is just to wait for all these rakeback nits to go busto... Not sure if/how the other games are being effected by these, but it definitely appears to be effecting the low-medium limit SNGs (22s and 33s have way less players in them than they did a few months ago).

Juk

EDIT: I should add that it was daytime GMT when I checked and thankfully it seems that it looks a whole lots healther now (5pm GMT)... God help anybody who plays daytime GMT though!

I don't know how the SNG's run usually but my break from grinding for the free ride has been 1-tabling $11 sng's and after 110 of them my roi is 38. I know it's probably mostly good run and don't know what kind of roi's you regulars achieve there but those sng's I played were extremely soft.

I've been running HUD while playing those and I usually had stats from maybe 2-3 players so I don't know how you can think regulars are the problem there. Maybe I just dodged all the bullets for my small sample

Regulars or Turbos? There's a big difference.

Maybe it's dependant on the time of day or perhaps I just caught them loading sets or something, but this afternoon at about 3pm GMT (~3 hours ago) I opened about about 6-7 newly started SNGs and the least Russians+Brazilians I saw was 4 and the most was 7. Perhaps they're not "regulars" in the sense that they play lots of tables, but they are nearly always winning players. I'll check again at a similar time tomorrow and see if it was just a fluke (I agree the games at this time of day don't seem to have as many of them in...).

I noticed if you try to close them they will stay there until you either close the table or wait til they come again and and they will disappear normally.

There is no doubt the sngs on party have got tougher, my roi is about half of what it was this time last year. Whether this will stop when this promo stops who knows.

There will come a point where party (and other sites) will have to drop the rake, or the games will dry up. As to keep traffic moving you to have to keep some winning regulars to keep the games loading.
