I believe it is only US players. However someone mentioned ITT or the cash pickup thread that their Neteller was taking longer then unusual but that was one isolated event it appears.

7/12, and 7/22 checks
I haven't gotten any email or check... and then just now I got 2 emails saying 100$ payment has been made to my Fulltilt account...So I guess I'm assuming my checks are being canceled and the money will be returned...

Just got the e-mail(s) from FullTilt saying I was affected. I had 3 checks coming to me, each for 3k, though the e-mail only stated I think one check.

It also said the new checks will be sent early next week, with 7-10 business days (give or take, they said) for delivery. They said it will be from a reliable processor, and they apologize for the delay and know that it is unacceptable.

As a result they credited my account with $100 (don't have to clear) for each check, for a total of $300. This is on top of a $500 clearable bonus I received last month.

Fwiw, they also said that checks are being changed from 5k every day to the limits of $100-$5000 every week.

Dear xxxx,

Unfortunately, you were among a group of players affected by a problem with recent check withdrawals:

DATE: 2008-07-08 14:15:43.437
TRANSFER NUMBER: xxxx
AMOUNT: $3000.00

We are writing to inform you that we will be issuing your check early next week, with an additional 7-10 business days for delivery. We acknowledge that these continued issues with check withdrawals are unacceptable and sincerely apologize for this event and any inconvenience it has caused.

Please be advised that these are estimations only and your funds may arrive shortly before or after the designated time frame. We want to assure you that despite the processing problems you’ve experienced with your recent check withdrawal, your request is now being handled by a reliable processor.

As a token of our appreciation for your patience in this matter, we will be crediting your Full Tilt Poker account with 100 within the next 24 hours.

Currently if you would like to request another check, you will not be able to do so through the Full Tilt Poker cashier. Instead, send an email to [email protected] and ensure that the mailing address registered to your Full Tilt Poker account is up to date. Please specify the amount of your check in the email, and we will issue a check to the address registered on your account. The limits will be one check per seven days, for a minimum of $100 and maximum of $5000.

Should you have any further questions please feel free to reply to this email. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

Full Tilt Poker Support

hi,
got the same emails.
has anyone used the "check by currier" option that they said was gonna be available for 3 weeks?
also, you think these checks they are sending out next week will be fedex'd or reg mail.
Not that it matters too much at this point, but what do you think happened? My guess as absurd as it seems,is that they tried to continue a relationship with the now defunct processor. If so,how can they be so blind?

I just want this to be clear, are we all now in the same boat? Are we all getting our checks sent next week,or did some of you that got the earlier email resubmit check requests?

LOL....sure I'll apologize on behalf of FTP despite only being a player there. I got another $200 for this latest delay. It's cool with me!

I think I'm finally going to have to use cash pickup to get my money this time though.

NFuego you are really too much.

What good does $200 or $2000 do you when you cannot turn it into money that you can spend? I have been trying to get paid since early June.

They can keep on depositing extra money into my account in as large amounts as they choose.

The money is worthless unless one has access to it.

Your replies become more and more ridiculous.

I am hard pressed to believe that you are not highly paid in REAL money to expose yourself in your ludricous posts.

The inefficiency that FTP has displayed is overwhelming. I will be very surprised if they do not lose their entire customer base over this horrid series of situations.

Apologize away and cash your paychecks real quickly. Your FTP cashflow will surely be short lived.

You guys can both get a life. You're the one calling out a fellow player and asking him to apologize on behalf of a poker site. Just another error in your pointing fingers at the wrong people when you completely fail to see the big picture. Last I checked cash pickup was working. They're not stealing money from anybody, and they don't want their check processors to suck. Somebody posted a pretty good article about why these problems are happening, and I suggest you both read it. Like I've said a thousand times, if you're going to constantly scream that the sky is falling and never stop your whining and complaining, then just move on from FTP. I've been trying to get paid since early June too. $5,700 worth so don't act like I'm criticizing you while not going through it myself. Grow up and stop depending on poker money to buy your groceries.

Some highlights since you're probably too selfish worrying about getting your monies and too lazy to actually open your eyes to what is going on...

Well, first of all, get your head out of the clouds!

You are participating in an activity that the American government - rightly or wrongly - considers illegal. You have to understand that sooner or later, processing problems are going to happen to your favorite casino. It is just a matter of time. No matter what sportsbook you use, sooner or later they will get jammed up by a processor. In that situation, they will lose hundreds of thousands of dollars at a minimum, and they will also bounce a few checks too.

When it happens, you can choose to kick and scream and promise to never do business with that operation again, but that won't do anything to get your money any quicker. It is a bad situation for everybody. Especially at this time of year leading into football season, no company wants their name plastered all over the posting forums as a slow-paying company. They want you to get your money, believe me. It just takes time. Yelling about it won't fix it. It might make you feel better for a few minutes, but that is about it.

Another common attitude that needs adjusting is the idea that you are somehow entitled to the most perfect service in every situation. This is not Walmart where the customer gets whatever he wants if he yells loud enough. Again, if you are American, then remember that you are technically breaking the law!

Yes, these companies are making money off of you, but they are also providing you with a service that you otherwise could only receive from a guy named Bobby Fingers, who can usually be found in the corner of a very dark bar. If you want to avoid the potential of processing problems, go deal with Bobby. If you want to avoid the potential problem of broken thumbs, then you will have to accept that sometimes there will be periods during which your online gambling experience is less than optimal.

Question: So how can I minimize my vulnerability?

If you want to play online, you have to accept the fact that the American government is going to do its best to persecute these companies and try to make you lose your money. The American government is NOT interested in protecting you.

Personally, I think the best remedy is to simply try to avoid requesting payments by check. Sure, checks are easiest, quickest and cheapest, but it is also the method that is most likely to get jammed up. So why bother, especially when there are other methods such as ACH or bank wires or e-wallets?

If you are not willing to cough up a couple of extra bucks or take a few minutes to ensure that your payment is getting some special attention, then you are a lot more likely to get your check caught in the net.

Take the initiative, folks!

These companies already deal with enough bull**** trying to keep their business going in this legal environment. If you are going to put in zero effort on your side to protect your money, then you can't expect them to be 100% culpable when things go wrong along the way. And if something does go wrong, you have to accept that it was YOU who chose the cheap payment method.

So try to deal with companies that have "alternative" payment methods, and once you get your money deposited, immediately get yourself signed up with one of their alternatives. That way, even if they do get jammed up by a check processor, it is a LOT less likely to directly affect you.

Guilty as charged. I have a huge leak in not being able to hold back from flaming morons who make stupid over the top posts. It's less of a leak though than flaming donkeys at the poker tables, which I definitely need to improve on.

They chose to not let people in my area use this,so I am left with one option...how would you feel?(pokerstars and other sites do not have this rule)
edit: I have to admit I do like you more like this though, not that sorry sappy excuse guy of earlier, look I'm happy you get your money, and don't need it,and like the bonuses, and get over a 1000 dollars free(witch you told them about)But we don't need to hear how happy you are all the time,no one likes a gloater.Put your self in my shoes...no money...ever,3 checks,3 different resubmissions, and making/letting people use cash pickup, and ignoring me,and any emails...would you want to hear someone like you?

One plays poker for money to WIN MONEY.

By definition ALL poker players are selfish and I am no exception.

For you NFuego to damn me for a me me me attitude is the height of stupidity.

Eveyone who reads this forum expects to receive the money that they have deposited on a site.

Therefore, that makes everyone selfish and qualified for your pious scorn.

I will continue to complain until I get what is mine and no one other than a paid apologist like you will criticize my complaints.

I do recall you saying something about not being able to use cash pickup. I had requested another check myself but based on recent developments I've been told I have to use cash pickup now. Obviously in your spot FTP needs to step up and provide you with an option that works. And I do sympathize with that.

If I come off as a gloater that's really not the intention. I'm personally comfortable with the situation if the site is making a good faith effort to resolve the problems and compensate their customers (even if that good faith effort fails more than it should). I haven't received any money via withdrawal in almost two months so I don't have that much to gloat about other than the bonuses I've received for that inconvenience. Overall my point is that screaming and yelling is getting us nowhere and I'd much prefer to see some rational and intelligent approaches to this situation instead of the constant screaming that usually implies that FTP is some corrupt poker site out to steal everyone's money.
