I think you can email support and work something out with them if you want to have limits that you cannot change yourself...pretty sure Lee mentioned this.

Having no problems in beta at this point. Like the tournament calendar. Everything seems about the same (so far).

You think everything is the same as the old client? I think its more user friendly not as clunky. Easier to control . The simple theme is a difference for cosmetics.

Lee will we be able to change the felt and the carpet colors in the classic them? I would like that.

It's growing on me. I don't fiddle much with the new options though and I can't figure out how to use the slider to raise for less than dollar increments. I'm sure there's a way.

Also, if no longer does that thing where it reloads my table and I have reclick automuck, etc., that's a big plus.

Trying out new client. Liking the 6max layout.
I can't seem to 'drag' the tables to custom size them. I can only click smallest/default/largest. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?
So far so good though.

Thanks

how on earth can they alter the value of their gold cards so much? 1 gold card worth $100 in equity one day, next day same gold card worth $5 in equity.
Well I think for one reason is that they were nice enough to transfer Sportsbook and PO players gold cards over which could cause it to have some deflation

IT looks great, but 2 glaring issues for me:

1. the cards are cut in half. This is really annoying and distracting.

2. the bet slider shouldn't change. The new slider seems to slide in odd increments, rather than by 1bb at a time. I can't stand how the amount shoots up with each slide up.

I agree I like the current slider a lot.

agreed new slider in beta is annoying! at .5/1 NL for example the bet size will go up fro 3 to 5 to 7 instead of 1 bb increments

also +1 to cards cut in half, its really hard to distinguish cards sometimes when tiling many tables

Yea the old client has full cards im not sure why they decided to make this function worst by cutting cards in half. The other only site that cuts there cards in half are merge and it tilts me.

I would like to see how much money in the account I have without clicking on a cashier. It would near a nickname, where you can see how many gold chips you have and etc.

Agree with the need for show full cards!

The bet size amount is a little small if the text could be uped by like 20% would be perfect.

Does anyone know if its possible to make custom cards for the new client?? like psthemes/fozzy/tiltbuster type stuff???

Ya full cards ... plus I can't resize the lobby and the tables anymore, kinda tilting. The positives are that the graphics and the layout + interface are a bazillion times improved!

We're definitely not satisfied with the tiling behavior. But we decided it was more important to get the software out to the public than wait until we could fix it.

Part of the problem is that there is no "industry standard" tiling behavior. Stars and Tilt do it differently and there are arguments for both their approaches (plus some other options). So we first have to decide exactly how we want it to behave and then implement it. But it's on the list and we'll get to it.

Correct. Contact support and they can set up bankroll protection so you can't turn it off from the client.

There is a known bug that with a brand new client installation, sometimes you don't see a "drag cursor" (the two-headed arrow) when you try to resize the table. But the second time you open the client you shouldn't have that problem.

Other than that, the tables do drag to resize.

Lee, why does the Cake 2.0 software put something into my autostart?
CakePoker / Cake Feedback Thread Quote
06-10-2010 , 02:15 PM
Didn't see a thread on it so will start 1. Ok has anyone else played it and what do you think. All the improvements are nice, but there is one kinda big problem. IT FREEZES UP ALL THE TIME. Every time I try to multi table it keeps freezing on me. It cant even handle 8-12 tables. Is anyone else having any problems with it?

There was an option before installing. You must have left the checkmark on.

When software is in a beta stage it means it is incomplete but stable enough for many users. All betas come with a "use at your own risk" disclaimer.

You do seem excited about the new software. If you would like to help, try recreating the freezes and post step by step instructions for what causes them.

I tried the software and didn't like it

I think they did focus on stability and other things below the surface, but the design was done poorly and for some reason the client feels heavy on my machine. A lot of people are liking it though, so they did something right.
