Please fix the following bug:

I am using large fonts in Vista. This can be done via going to Control Panel --> Appearance and Personalization --> Personalization --> Change Font Size (DPI).

The Cake client seems to be completely unaware of the fact that you may use large fonts in Vista. As a consequence, text in the Cake Window is cut off. This doesn't affect Tables but is completely inconvenient when trying to access features such as the Cashier. You simply get to see only ~2/3 of every line of text.

after implementing the auto rebuy, cake network now has some issues sometimes when someone rebuys. sometimes, you cant see your hole cards after rebuying. when this happens, and you then fold, the table freezes, and everyone must leave. the two times this happened to me, the table never came back to working.

edit: forgot. the poker room manager guy should be posting in this thread at LEAST on a weekly basis.

could someone tell me how does the weekly 500race at Cakepoker works?

is the money for the first person who reaches 500 points (and then the 2nd who reaches 500 points gets the 2nd place and so on, so on) or is it for the person who does more points in a week

You could PM "the poker room manager guy". His name is Lee Jones.

Hey apefish - I personally reproduced the bug and it's in the development queue to get fixed. I can't give you a date yet but we're on it.

Nit. When he showed me that hand, I spit up my Diet Mountain Dew. I didn't know anybody raise/folds QQ anywhere at any time. Of course, shortly thereafter, he raised, I three-bet with 77 (IIRC), and he four-bet. I insta-folded the 77.

So, this is just not the most efficient way to do bug reporting/tracking. Please send an email to support@cakepoker.com; I promise you that we'll get on it. Especially for something of this severity. [1]

Um, my previous post on this forum was three days ago. What's a week to you?

[1] Extra bonus: if it's something really severe (such as you reported), if you can trap it with a screen video capture (Camtasia, CaptureWiz, etc), I'll see to it that you get a nice piece of Cake gear or some other tangible reward for your work. It's one thing for us to go to the developers with a one-paragraph description of a problem. It's whole different thing to say, "Watch this .avi file as feature X breaks in way Y."

Again, I'm not going to be the front-end for Cake customer support here. It's crazily inefficient and a poor use of my time. Send an email to support@cakepoker.com, and it will go into our bug system, where it will be reproduced, tracked, and fixed.

and that lee jones guy told us to post everything here

I'm not getting my actual questions answered by support. I keep getting the "we'll let you know when our processor ships out your check, it should take a maximum of 15-20 business days from when you request it to when you receive it".

It doesn't really answer my question when i'm very explicit about needing to know if, like every other room, checks are delayed so I can get cash from another source before heading out for the last week of the series...

I'm sure the answer you're getting from Cake support is the absolute truth as they know it. They don't have any way of knowing the exact timetable for a check to be processed through our payment processor, so they give you the average number.

As regards the current checks issue, Cake (fortunately) didn't have any exposure to the eChecks problems, so you won't experience any delay on that front.

Thanks Lee. I'm only 6-8 tabling most of the time and it gets a bit too much to deal with. Can't imagine how guys playing more tables deal with it.

One other thing. A "note" remains tagged to the player if you simply type anything in the field but remove it. In other words say you go to make a note and for some reason open the wrong player because you've come back to the table after acting on another couple tables. You realize it- delete any characters you've written in that field, but now still have this player tagged with the note icon.

Is there any way to remove this? It's not a big deal so far but it seems pretty meh opening up a note to see what I have on someone only to have it be blank because the software insists on reminding me that something once was there.

A way to delete notes/icons would be nice although not a pressing issue.

Thanks Lee, that was my underlying concern in regards to the check.

from reading above i'm guessing bonus whoring is not possible on cake as you can only have rakeback with one client, i.e. if you wanted to get the $600 110% deposit bonus on cake, power and red poker you would lose out on 33% rake back? so you can only clear the bonus once?

Hi folks –

It is true that, at times, a Cake Poker network partner (skin) may choose to segregate some of its games from the Cake network. This is generally a seasonal or promotional thing. Sportsbook does have some of their games segregated right now; this is a temporary situation and it shouldn’t dramatically affect the volume of games available on the network.

Lee Jones

Yes, I used to play a lot of 5/10 limit last year. Then around october the games suddely died, I mean it was overight. Instead of four tables of full ring, it was lucky to have one going. Then another player tipped me off that not all the skins were sharing the tables anymore. Sure enough I log onto the sportsbook client and there were all the normal games that no longer showed up on Cake.

Of course I emailed support about it to find out why and if it was permenant and couldn't get a straight answer. Turns out it was permanent.

Thank you for your email. I'm afraid at present UseMyWallet account invitations would only be open to those players who meet criteria laid down by UseMyWallet, which I’m afraid we are unable to discuss at this time. As soon as your account meets these criteria our Cashier team will forward an invitation, apologies for not being able to help you further at this time and thanks in advance for your patience.

How the hell am I supposed to get money into this site? I give up.

They have a p2p transfer function, you could try your luck in the transfer thread.

well, i must eat crow. i admit that i just scanned the thread, and didnt look at the last page well. apologies. the fact that youre posting here is huge, imo. while other sites like cereus pull shady crap, the cake net continues to impress, and i for one am promoting cake due to it.

regarding that bug, it is a pretty severe problem, however it is quite rare also, so not a huge deal to me. i rake about 1k/month, and its only happened to me two times. i was probably dealt 72o anyway.

The software is still pretty glitchy as many have mentioned, however...

I would like to comment that the User Interface is the best I've used so far.
The hand history is also pretty cool even though it freezes my entire client sometimes.

Hi MAHP -
No need to eat crow - there's a lot of stuff to keep track of here.

I'm delighted to be interacting with the Cake community here on 2+2. Also, I'll be in Vegas from June 24 - July 11 for the WSOP. If any of you see me, please come over and introduce yourself. This is especially true if I'm in a game; any hand you prevent me from playing is another hand I can't butcher.

Regarding the invisible cards after a top-up, it's obviously a severe bug. I'll personally drop $25 into the account of the first person who provides us with a video screen capture of it happening.

Best regards,
Lee Jones

the $50 - $65 SNG's used to go regularly. now it takes forever to fill. i have seen the $50 dONs fill in a few minutes a couple of weeks ago, now it takes an hour+ sometimes. the $48 super turbo only goes about 1-2 times per hour as well.

IMO, your site would get a lot more traffic if the daily guaranteed MTT schedule was improved. Add some 22, 33, 55, and 109 buyin guaranteed tourneys during the prime time hours.

Lee, please look into this.
