I think one time he made a general statement that they were concerned that if they spread too many different games, then they'd just compete for traffic and ultimately none of them would get good enough traffic to be any good.

My cashier isn't showing either. It's probably a kink in the new update

Hi folks -

Cashier: there were some cashier glitches earlier (I saw an official bug filed), but I think they're mostly gone now. I just checked mine and it looks fine. I apologize for the problem there, but I think we're back on track now.

Stud: actually, I would love to have stud. [1] It's merely a question of prioritizing it into software development. The basic question is whether we would have critical mass to have games going often enough to justify the development. If I could snap my fingers and have stud appear, I'd do it before I submitted this post. But if we'd get one or two games struggling to survive for a couple of hours a day, it wouldn't make sense compared to other projects we're working on. As an exercise, look at the ratio of flop games to stud games on the Big Sites. Now take that ratio and apply it to our games and tell me if we have a legitimate stud market yet.

Alternatively, persuade me that we'll have a different ratio between flop and stud games. Seriously - I want stud too and I'm trying to figure out how to justify it to myself and to my superiors as a good business decision at this moment. I am sure that at some point down the line it'll be a no-brainer.

Best regards,
Lee Jones

Hi folks -
Unfortunately, you're correct; the cashier problem still seems to be with us. Our development people are working on it, and I'm watching the bug updates.

Best regards,
Lee Jones

the gold stacks thing is pretty confusing, I read all the available info and I am still unsure of how this works - is the bonus money instantly deposited into my account when unlocked? Do you basically keep printing money indefinitely until youre level 50 then youre maxed out? Is this a limited term thing or permanent? Thanks.

Lee, I think your ratio of flop players to stud players would be somewhat better than the major sites just because so many of the flop players there are masstabling HUDbots.

I think you'd do better adding draw games, though, since only Stars is competing there and they do a terrible job of promoting to draw players.

is it just with me ?

I got the info to re-install Power Poker, but I'm still having the same problem shown in the pic above.

Could it have something to do with Windows XP? ... my laptop with Windows Vista has no issues showing the cashier or gold chip status. My pc with Windows XP can't show the cashier or gold chip status.

Instead of stud games i would prefer more action in Holdem during the morning and afternoon. I pretty much play on different sites during those times.

The join next available 6 max table option will put you on 9max tables with 6 or fewer players seated, and it's super annoying

Yea saying there should be better traffic during non peak hours is such a terrible thing to say.

The whole idea of trying to get stud going is such a waste of time. PLO is barely around on the Cake network. Stud has zero chance of being successful.

Hello! Does any1 else have problems with seeing notes on the players after the update? I am 100% sure i made notes on some players yet the notes dont show up. The note files are not gone yet, they're still in the notes subfolder of the Cake poker directory.

I would like to make a suggestion for the development team of the new client, which hopefully will be getting released sooner than later, and that is to have hand histories holdem manager, and pokertracker ready.

Always thought it's kind of strange that the great Doyle Brunson would be on a network that does not spread stud.

The cost-benefit analysis makes perfect sense, but I just wish that my beloved Cake as any good card room would spread any game that the players demand. Even, if it's only one table.. I sure would love to play some Stud8 on Cake.

Since there are some sportsbooks on the network full of old school sports betting droolers, I wonder if they would play stud.

Also, even the tiny bodog spreads stud.

Since they already have the tabs for stud games. Does that mean they already have the software for stud? If so then I cant see why they wouldnt have stud tables. However, it would most likely be a waste of resources promoting it in any way.

If people really want stud than I would keep letting Lee Jones know about it.

I think he was just confused that you would come here and make a suggestion to Lee Jones that he should consider getting more players on his site at the times you play. You really see that as a logical valid request to ask Cake?
