Well the 8pm ($2k) and 10pm ($1.5k) are worthwhile I think, usually take about 2.5 hours if you make it all the way and 1st prize is in the $400 range. Not bad for a freeroll.

I agree on the 100/200 though, I think those are a waste of time but I think they are geared towards super-casual players who just see it as another version of a play money game.

I also liked the nightly $10k better but 888 has pumped a lot of free money into the NJ poker economy, can't really fault them for their promotions.

The 10k freerolls were interesting because the prize structure was so flat... first prize was still only around 500 bucks but the differences between places was very small, so even min-cashing was $30 or so. I'd be interested to see them run a single nightly freeroll with a big prize pool, but have the payout structure be standard so that most money goes to the final table. I would play a $10k (or even $5k) freeroll like that every night, even if I had to play a lot of raked cash hands to qualify.

This player makes an excellent point. If 888 does not log chats and someone could obviously photoshop a screen capture what defense do us players have against collusion. Scary.

I wish they logged chat. I often like to get sauced up on the weekends and play and I talk a lot of friendly smack in the chat and would love to see the full logs lol.

I see my other post was deleted, yes it was the wrong thread lol, but I'm saying, we're all from NJ here and it would be a good place to virtually hitch hike haha.

Damn, Geolocate bounced for the first time since maybe late December or early January. Luckily not mid-important hand on a cash game.

Irrespective of what is in the chatbox the game play would be the defining factor because if there was collusion going on it would clearly be seen by our fraud department.

Hi, I'm a 888 Poker user and I can't use the hand history converter on this site, when I try to post a 888 poker hand it gives an error. Any help on this?

With the greatest respect to your team of experts, subtle collusion towards the end of tournaments between "one-off" colluders, (per subject example), is virtually impossible to detect.

Yes, if a collusion team played numbers of tournies together, it may well be seen clearly without them reminding each other in the chat of each tourney to collude.

However, I don't think that most players expecting 888poker, along with most other sites that can, to be able to review chat is only in regard to collusion. Until each player that complains about something that has been said in chat is asked, "Do you have a screenshot, please?", they have no idea that a screenshot was necessary for them to make their complaint.

It's difficult to believe that a premier site that can write a program to allow players to throw tomatoes at each other can't write a simple one to record what little chat there is at the tables, these days.

yeah and nothing would happen. nothing

To the player that thinks he got colluded against.

I think I talked about this here or in the nj thread.

I reported suspected colluding/chip dumping in a 20$stt in dec or jan and I was told that they would "investigate". They also said that I would not be told if the players were found to be cheating. And I would not get a refund/or pay bump if they were found to be cheating. See cant do that or else people would know they were cheated. better to admit nothing + site keeps money + honest player is SOL+ admit nothing.

so even if you have 100% proof the 888 "security team" (im not sure there is one) would "investigate" and u wouldn't ever now the results or get a refund/pay pump.

god forbid people know they were cheated... no refunds for you.

I remember a couple times getting money back from pokerstars b/c of cheating. oh pokerstars I miss you and ROW players.

Is this an accurate viewpoint of the fraud department? Anyone with half a brain should know how stupid this is.

+1

but is anyone really surprised by the reps answer? pretty consistent with dozens of other issues we've pointed out. I think it all stems from 888 hiring non poker players in other countries. most of this would be fixed quickly if they hire a staff of poker players in nj, even for 6 months or something.

888 Rep, any new promotions for March?

Got an email that the free rolls go bye bye after today.

Weekly leaderboards with weekly prizes would be a GOAT promotion

Party ran a "micro turbofest" series a while back with 2 nightly turbos and an overall points leaderboard with prizes for top 10 finishers. Would love to see 888 run something like this as I prefer 888 to PP.

No rakeback for the e-mail yet for the past week? Please tell me that just because I withdrew some money that I don't lose this rakeback deal.

Called customer service and they verified they haven't gone out yet. I usually get them by 8:30 like clockwork every week. Waiting on at least $800 rake back this week from PLO & Omaha. No more freeroll ticket redemptions either. Hope they bring back status point redemption.

Pleasant surprise with more snow on the way. I'll be stuck in the house. Freerolls are the best cure for cabin fever.
