Are you referring to that sick NL2k table with sharmoota yesterday? When I left, kebabs had 18k in his stack.

Hey everyone

I have been playing 888 for a while now and I'm wondering whether the site is rigged ... ???

Usually I play 10NL, and in the last couple months I have been losing non-stop due to bad beats.

I admit, there maybe the odd few occasions where I make silly mistakes (who doesn't? we're human, right?) and get stacked here and there, but on the whole I like to think I play a decent game.

In the first couple weeks of getting beat I didn't mind it too much, I just put it down to just a bad session and fish getting lucky. However this has been going on for 2 months now and the majority of the time, the fish seem to be hitting flops harder and/or getting to a better hand by the river.

Typical examples would be:

1) KK vs 84 - I hit set on Kxx, villain calls me down every street, he had complete air on flop, turns a gutshot draw and rivers the straight.

2) i flopped a straight, villian flops set 7, we both get it in on the flop, turns 8, rivers 8 for fullhouse

3) AA vs AJ - we both get it all in preflop, board becomes JJxxx

4) AA vs T4 - i raised 6-7bb preflop, villian flops 2pair T4xxx

5) Ax suited vs 67s - we both turn a straight, i shove the turn with my nut flush, he calls and rivers a gutshot for straight flush

6) AK vs AT - i raised 5-6bb preflop, barrelled flop and turn with TPTK on Axxx board, villian rivers T

There are a lot more examples but these are just some that highlight how badly I get beat.

With the exception of the odd occasions where I make silly mistakes, I know that I am a decent player for these stakes and play a good solid strategy. I am aware of the odds and the likelyhood of fishes beating my hands but it seems that these "unlikely" occurances happenend WAY too often!

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Any thoughts?

Is anyone getting disconnected sometimes?
I rly love this site, but i get disconnected sometimes, at random and it lasts till all hands end on each table. I emailed support about it, and they refunded me the money for first time(which is nice of them), but they don't seem to know what the problem is...

When it happens, i allways try loading some webpages, and all load pretty quickly. Could it be possible that it's a problem with my internet, if i can load webpages ok?

I will try here, seeing as I have not yet gotten a reply from 888 support.

I was playing some 1/2c NL cash games today, just killing some time. I was in a nothing hand, had 56o on the button. Cards came down 777 9 10.

Checked all round from disinterested parties, Three players in the hand.

The fun started at the river. The ten came down, but instead of checking the BB left the table.

MP checked to me and I checked also. Game over or so you would think.

But then the action went back to MP, who checked the river again. So did I, again.

Still not over, action goes back to MP, we both check the river, again.

Finally, he makes a min bet, and I call just to see wtf.

He won, no big deal, all I am wondering is what the hell is going on here? Is this bloody software of Pacific's actually reliable?

(I tried to convert the hand history, but Pacific just replays the hands, I dont know where to get all the text hand histories)

Isn't MP3's all in an underraise which shouldn't reopen the betting? Or am I misremembering the rule?

Mystery D/C's are not unheard of. I myself rarely suffer any, but if I do, it's usually on 888's end. Fire support an email in these instances, be prepared to receive a "it's not me it's you" response. Persistence pays.

This used to happen occasionally a long while back, haven't heard/seen it in awhile. I'll certainly pass it along. I would chalk it up to fluke hiccup though. I've NEVER seen it happen in a tourney FWIW.

If you go into your settings in the lobby, you can check "Save hand histories..." and create a pathway on your computer to save text histories directly to your system.

    I believe 888 uses the 50% rule.

So the betting remains open if the raise is >50% of the previous raise.

In your example the raise was $6 to $27 (so a raise of $21). So for the betting to remain open, the next raise would have to be greater than $10.50. The raise is $14.50 so the betting remains open.

    Hope this solves your question.

Can you please confirm that this is that is correct?
I had (perhaps mistakenly) thought that a full sized bet was required to re-open the action. Over the weekend, while on a draw in a 3 handed pot, the big stack bet Pot, the action was to me with a short stack behind me, who had less than 2 pot sized bets in his stack. I called, thinking that the action would not be re-opend, but then had to fold when the big stack got to raise agian when the short stack went all in. I will check the hand history to see if the short stack had 1.5 pot sized bets (I think he did), but at the time I was pretty annoyed as I had thought that the action was going to be closed, even if the short stack went all in.
If you could please confirm if the 50% requirement is correct that would be great.

    Thanks

Well, judging by the hand I posted, it certainly appears to be the case.

Is it possible to scroll the betslider with the mousewheel on 888 poker? I might open up an account here, but I really would like it to have this feature.

    Confirmed.

NLHE games MAY be changed to full bet in the future, but currently everything follows the half bet rule.

Is it possible to "Remember Table Positioning" or save table layout?
    07-01-2011 , 07:45 PM
How are you guys still play on this site leaded by crooks?
    07-02-2011 , 06:30 AM
Well I'm sorry, I read your story. Something with swapping. I see that there are a lot of happy customers, so I am not worried.

i guess it is more like fulltilt is leaded by crooks. far better to play at a publicly quoted company where all information is out there in the open.

Happened to me again today. Had 3 HUSNG tables open, and one of them froze while the other 2 continued like normal. Any updates on what causes this or a fix for it coming up?
