At some places props don't have to wear badges, but if you ask if they are house players they have to tell you.

Personally I don't like the food at Commerce. I think the food at Bike is better, and at Hawaiian Gardens the best.

Silent props are legal in some jurisdictions. The jurisdiction the Bike is in does not (or did not) have an obligation to identify employees of the casino upon request.

I completely dismissed everything else ghostly said when he said Commerce has the best casino food in the country and is better than 85% of the restaurants in southern California. I mean come on.

I see. They are required to wear badges up here. I thought it was a state regulation, but apparently it's just a local one.

With the selection, quality, and the price being usually being around $10 I have never understood the commerce food haters. I personally never have heard someone complain about the food... There once was a deli type sandwich shop by the back parking lot (now a security booth) which you couldn't eat. I am pretty sure people who went to that booth to eat gave the normal food a bad rep (Maybe why theY closed it).

An an earlier post someone mentioned the food at the bike is better, which I would partially agree saying most "american" type foods are of a similar quality, but the asain food there is no comparison.

And I guess to retort the lazy, I just came back from a week in vegas.. I could hardly keep down a meal, even from restaurants charging $25 a plate. It was really awful even more so than last year. I spent the last couple days eating the the Habbit and other chains on the strip. To say the least I was thankful to go home .

So if someone knows of a casino that offers great food and poker let me know. I've been to a lot of them, and it's pretty universal unless your paying big bucks the food usually isn't the greatest.

Re: your last post about the "corruption" of the Commerce(that has been locked and not yet moved):

Taking care of the Floormen is just something that everyone should do if your card room allows for such a thing. When I visit the Commerce(and granted its been awhile) I just hand the guy $20 and I'm taken care of for my entire trip. And then when I leave I'll hand him another $20 if I had a profitable trip. The first $20 is to ensure good service, the second $20 is just my way of telling him that I really appreciated his efforts to make me feel welcomed.

Does that put me on a different playing field than you?...Guess what?...I don't care! I'm getting asked to move when it's primo for me to move while you're getting treated as a second class citizen.

Everyone wants to make a buck. I don't begrudge anyone for that and I'm smart enough to do the math, and if tipping these guys can get you perks while(essentially) still putting money in your pocket? Then why wouldn't I chose that line?

Sorry for the late response.

I read the posting guidelines before I started posting on 2+2 and thought my post fit under the guidelines but for some reason the moderator locked the post down. After that happened I stopped monitoring 2+2. There was no point.

I don't understand why they locked the post but I'll assume the moderator had a valid reason.

There are two reasons to juice the floorman.

The first is you just like him/her and want to give him/her some money. This is the reason many regulars tip the dealers.

The second is that juicing the floorman has EV+. Given the value of playing to your blinds in a 40-80LH game and that you are going to be allowed to do it twice a day, giving $10 to get up to $120 in value back is certainly justified.

The problem is that juicing is a zero sum game. Every time one player is given special treatment the money is coming out of another players pocket. When this juicing gets going there are a lot of players losing a lot of money everyday and they get mad--- which is one reason the Commerce 40-80 has such a uniquely toxic aura.

A second problem with juicing for EV+ is that, unless you make it explicit, you won't get to play to your blinds every time and you might not get VIP treatment enough to get your money back.

The related problem is that when the other players see you not getting pulled out of the game in a timely manner, they yell for the floorman or chip runner to "do their job", the staff ignore the yelling so they don't have to move the person immediately, the player(s) yell again, and it gets loud and obnoxious.

So, you pay off the floorman, to give your self an advantage. You are a crook and so is the floorman. I don't think I will play at the Commerce with you scum.................
