This is incorrect in a number of places. I assume you are correct about the rake.

I'd like to mail in a few of these as a form of rake back but have a question on name formatting.

If my license shows my name as LAST, FIRST, MIDDLE is that how it needs to be written on the card or can I just write it normally?

I mail in 300 every week. I track everything. I would estimate that 3% of the ones I write do not get credited (lost in mail, poor handwriting etc) they are usually 4-6 weeks behind what ive mailed in for credits. If I mail them say on 8/1/2022 those seem to be credited around 9/15 or so. they credits take place for me every 14-18 days

How long have you been sending in that many a week, and how do you have time to play poker writing that many? you have to be literally writing or playing(or both) every waking hour right?

50 per day 6 days per week for last 6 months - takes me 4 hours per day. I write them between 9 am and 1 PM I play in the evening. I dont have to grind as many hours as I used to. Writing these equates to $50 per hour add that to my win rate at 50 plo and its pretty easy. im "working"40-50 hours per week depending on how much I want to play

I still don’t get it lmao… mail in a written note asking for sc? Specific way and letter and a specific request? Huh alright. Lol

SC 1500/wk? Ridiculous abuse of the sweeps rules. Anybody treating this like their job and taking advantage of others by inflating their bankroll at players' and GPs expense can't last long. I imagine we'll be hearing about this person joining Bawsten's imaginary class action in the near future.

Please explain how this is an abuse of the rules? Id wager a bet you have NEVER read the rules. I am not abusing anything. I follow all the rules. dont be salty because your too lazy to put the work in

Wait...is this Bawsten? Cause this was his comeback, word for word...just before banhammer.

They don't care how many you mail in. They care about players following the rules and how much rake that player generates. If you generate more rake than you cash out and follow the rules, they will probably keep you around. IIRC, BAWSTEN didn't play poker. I am not psychic, so I don't know what other people think but I get the impression, most people think the Sweeps Coins are real money and when I mail in a Sweeps Request, Global takes $5 out of their pocket. It is my understanding, their out of pocket is the cost of processing the mail and updating my account. If you look through this forum, there are constant references to deposits, withdrawals and account balances. Sweeps Coins are to my understanding Sweepstakes entries and are not real money. If you notice when you "cash out" you are requesting a prize redemption, not a withdrawal. It isn't real money until they award you a prize redemption.

lol what. of course they care how much you mail in, the business model obviously wouldnt work if everyone was sending in thousands per month and nobody was depositing their own money. The amount of people who are sending in bulk envelopes who are actually generating more rake than theyve cashed out is probably pretty close to zero if not literally zero. Unless of course theyre just letting their bankroll balloon to crazy high amounts and literally only cashing out profit, which i doubt too many people are doing especially since if youre taking the time to send that many its basically your job, and you also risk being randomly banned one day like bawsten etc and losing everything in your account.

Theyre able to keep a relatively small amount of people around who are sending in large amounts and playing at least a fair amount because theyre helping generate traffic. But obviously there is a theoretical line or tipping point where if too many people are sending in crazy high amounts, it stops being tolerable for the site. To claim otherwise is clearly illogical.

Please provide evidence to support your claim. I haven't seen a case where someone playing poker and obeying the rules got banned unless they got too deep into Global's pockets and made themselves a liability. IIRC Bawsten didn't play poker. He is a much better example for my theory than he is for yours.

There is always the possibility that I am completely wrong.

there was a whole big thing in this thread with at least several people saying they got banned. Obviously Global cant just say youre getting banned because youre sending too many envelopes/not playing enough before cashing out. So we'll never know the actual reason those people were banned and if it was that or something else.

I'm in between here. There wasn't a catch all reason for the banhammers. Some guys admitted to nefarious behavior such as farming out the writing on craigslist, or getting their friends/partners to help write them. I'd be shocked if all the guys who claimed they were acting in good faith weren't breaking the rules in some way.

Then you have the Bawsten types who are doing $10k a month worth and then just gambling the literal minimum before cashing out. Totally fair to ban these guys. Sure they didn't "break the rules" but Global can ban whoever they want for any reason. I'd imagine a bunch of those FB Chumba folks got banned as well. Can't have been good for Global's bottom line. Anyways wonder how Bawsten's court case is going.

Its really easy to lookup and see how much the sweeps coins mailed in impacts the company's net revenue and profit, it is public information. It is absolutely miniscule. its less than 5% of their net revenue and 60-70% of it is just gambled back and lost by people in the casino etc. It has such a small impact on their bottom line that as long as you follow the rules I cant imagine their ever being an issue

I just started sending in letters recently, I know they won't get credited for up to 6 weeks. Was just curious, when they credit you, do they give you a notification or mail saying they credited your account? Or does it just show up in your account without any sort of alert?

I think they used to send an email, but for me it just shows up in account without any alert. Usually within a few hours after midnight.

I get an email from them roughly 2-4 hours after they are deposited

Pretty weird, i never get any email for envelopes. Ive heard other people say they do as well though so i knew it was a thing. No idea why i dont as i get other emails from them and the weekly newsletter etc.

Oh man that sucks if they don't notify you. I can foresee that being an issue cause then you wouldn't be able to keep track of it. Imagine if they credit you while you're grinding, you would never know about the credits. Cause when you're multi-tabling, you're constantly rebuying and topping off.
