Quite the opposite actually when I was benevolently just trying to make him aware of a probable personality disorder that he should take care of now that he has the millions.

I still feel like this discussion is a joke honestly, did you not see how he did not react normally in the video ? How his emotions were absent, no enthousiasm whatsoever, no relationships, etc...
Someone wake me up.
You gave your opinion. Move on. Get over it. Focus on something, or someone else.

I personally see a level-headed introvert. I can relate on the latter trait. Just my two cents. GG Cumicon, amazing work! I'll be in Mammoth in January, perhaps boarding by the legend himself!

It is hard to give a opinion about someone unknow in a 2hour video..people are different in any way so you can't just say anaything about cumicon because you didn't have see everything.I don't know what is the motivation for the people here to judge about someone who is very very sucessful in his arena but it is for sure not right to come here and write some bull**** about someone who they never know in reality...
@cumicon you are propably one of the greatest online PLO pokerplayers ever, you have shown skills that nobody or very few people can develop.Poker is not only about skills ist about self awarness and a lot of discipline, what many people don't have..you are something special..So don't give a **** what random people think about you.

should do a pod with bananasplit next, NVG experts will provide a profound psychological diagnosis for free afterwards.

Meh, stupid replies for the most part.
Cliffs : - everybody is just different and in perfect mental health
- don't address issues when you see symptoms but wait to be really depressed to react
- only praise the PLO god

(x) Doesn't know the difference between personality disorder and depression.
(x) Thinks he's qualified to post about above mentioned topics.
( ) Actually has a clue about what he's talking.

+1. Though I'd make a slight adjustment to that and have posters pm Joey their issues and have BS talk them through their troubles with his expertise.

Did I say that I was a specialist ? I said that he should see one according to symptoms everyone can see.
And personality disorders may lead you to depression if not treated but it's better to pretend everything is fine or misinterpret my posts.

I still don't understand what the drama is about. He has all the time to figure out things and he should start by himself is all I said.

It's just stupid to make public denigrating public judgements about someone who's only reason to come on the podcast is to entertain you and me, he doesn't gain anything from it. It might prevent other hs crushers from coming on the podcast so if you're that concerned about his mental health send him a pm with your professional opinion.

podcast was legit good. i personally found these kind of podcasts (like Ben86 or cumicon) more satisfying than listening to super extrovert clowns talking nonsense.

I agree with banana. But obviously could simply be very introverted as well. No harm in doing self evaluation.... guy crushed poker. Cheers to him for that.

Now moving on.....

Podcast was good fwiw

there's plenty of emotionless or robotic people out there, 0,01% of them come close to cumicon results

There's a decent argument for him being the best player ever. 25bb winrate over a million hands at highstakes. Has anyone else come close to that?

I haven't watched the entire vid, so maybe this has been addressed. But having played HUNL most of my "career", it seems pretty obvious to me most of that graph is from "bumhunting". That doesn't mean that he wasn't the best HUPLO player also, I'm sure he was close if he was holding down the lobby on stars the last few years. But I'd bet a lot at least 50%+ of those hands were vs bums, which obviously has a profound effect on his winrate numbers. To me this doesn't take much away from his accomplishments, but when using his WR as a metric it has to be taken into account.

He states in the podcast that most of his hands were vs. regs I believe.

I can believe that, but even if 25% of his hands are vs bums it's still going to greatly effect his WR more than people that are used to looking at 6m type WRs will realize.

I agree also.

Cumicon was one of my favorite podcasts to date, ranks with Tollerene, Sulsky, Jones and Schneller imo.

Now if Joey would just get Sean Nolan and Andrew Seidman on the podcast, I could die happy.

yeah i agree but damn i swear poker takes the highs and lows out of your personality. ive noticed myself who used to be a person to wear my emotions on my sleeve , after poker i experience way less of this even in day to day. so when you see someone like cumicon whos grinded the max amount .. i swears that almost dead personality is directly related to grinding too much.
