Nothing was out of line, but it was pretty obvious that a situationally aware chess partner wouldn't be stoked. I'd throw in some chess analogy if I knew the rules.

Hey Joey, I've been catching up the podcasts while unpacking, and literally just finished this one. The answer to your specific question is most probably no. You would most likely act and do all of the same things with any guest, guy or girl, but that isn't the problem.

If you are seeing somebody, you're going to have to be mindful when you have a conversation with somebody like Sam. No girl is going to want to watch you do the red light special dance for another attractive woman, and no girl is going to want to hear that you're having Skype conversations with said person on a semi-regular basis. It's a whole different dynamic when you're interacting with anybody the person you are seeing deems a threat, and it's your job to be sensitive to that if your relationship is an important one. Tbh you're not doing yourself any favors by referring to her as your chess partner either.

I'm not sure how serious you guys are, but it seems clear she likes you quite a bit, she wouldn't give a **** otherwise. From the Fedor interview it seemed like you felt the same way given you got super butthurt by Fedor's flirting ( dont blame you ). While I'm at it I think Fedor's thing was harmless. My guess is he probably just wants every girl to find him interesting, but nothing malicious. I was that way when I was around that age, and you were/are probably the same.
