yeah donjonnie, it's true. I will never get legend. I will never be able to go to Blizzcon and pull all the hot chicks with my Hearthstone skills.

I was legitimately getting depressed last night from this game. I was having deeply emotional reflections on life and my speedboys in Mumble had to settle me down. I was close to uninstalling the game again but then I bought 7 packs with gold and I got a GOLDEN SEA GIANT along with my FIRST LEGENDARY IN OVER A MONTH. The last one I opened was Lorewalker Cho so I was pretty pumped when I saw that golden glow appear. Wanna guess what it was?

Has Blizz said anything about the expansion about crafting?

If I was them, it'd be super obvious to use a different color/kind of dust for each expansion. Otherwise the guys who have been playing for ages are just going to craft up a ton of new cards right away, and the value of making new expansions just deflates over time as more and more gold/dust ends up in the economy.

If you assign each expansion a different kind of dust, you get people spending way more real cash on the game. The same guys who have a ton of dust now and are used to being legend rank will be strongly incentivized to dump cash on the new set.

Then again, Blizzard totally pooched it by announcing Naxx far in advance and then releasing it a week at a time (allowing people to hoard/build up gold in anticipation, rather than having to choose between waiting and paying), so who knows, maybe they'll do it again.

Right now the thinking is that there will be a new type of Pack to get the new expansion's cards but that they will still be craftable with the same type of dust. Blizzard has said that having too many currencies can be kind of confusing.

its a tough balance. each new expansion/set makes it more difficult and intimidating for new players. some people are already not interested in taking up the game because theyd have to spend such a high chunk of gold on naxx cards which feels different than the natural progression of opening up packs as you get the gold and using them to craft specific cards as you can

been playing an inner fire priest today that I made up

just killed a warrior with a 56/56 maexxna, lolz

was trying to make a new deck that I hadn't seen before

still ended up with the undertaker engine in it

blizzard really underestimated that card's effect, nearly every deck is made better by it

nerub'ar weblord really should be for deathrattle minions, not battlecry

Such a funny arena right now. I am Hunter vs Rogue. I have 4 health and he has 1 health left. I have 2 minions on the board, a 2/1 and a 4/4. He has Ragnaros on board and drops a minion with card draw that doesn't get him the card he is looking for.

He then must be thinking 50/50 is better then 33% and uses his dagger to hit my 2/1 dying in the process. Should have taken the 33% shot at Ragnaros hitting me face. Got me 4-0 and not 3-1. Hope this is a sign of more good things to come to me.

A system with a special currency for the latest expansion would work imo:
Special currency would be hard to get and used to buy the newest stuff, normal currency would be easy to grind and used to buy everything older.
When a new expansion is released all your special currency gets converted into the normal one.

Beginners would be able to catch up and everyone would always have to grind for the new stuff. It would be similar to the system they eventually settled on for gear tiers in WoW.

Do people play around MCT in arena? sigh. Just stole my Sunwalker (25%) when he had no other way to even have a chance at victory. It was literally the only thing he could do outside of Deathwing to not die next turn. (yes, i'm sure there are a few ways he could have but jesus what a rip off)
