The previous meta defining deck patron git crippled, which means, among others, aggro is more viable which means anti aggro decks like priest are going to do well. The meta evolves.

I've been having sooooo much fun with Reno Warrior. It just soul crushes aggro, which is most of what I'm facing. They don't even have a chance.

This is the deck.

I'm 11-5 today with it. I may just push for legend with it. Rank 5 currently. Also only 80 warrior wins left for my first golden hero!

I tried the Korkron version and the Elise version (and some of my own), and couldn't beat Secret Pally much with any of them.

I am only rank 8 but I feel that a lot of the current lists makes control matchups better at the expense of aggro. Finley is a dead draw against aggro and I would say that oftentimes accolyte is too. Elise is another addition that makes control matchups better but does nothing against aggro.

You might want to go to 2 ghouls 1 acolyte instead of 2 acolyte 1 ghoul.

I don't think patron is that favored over secret paladin these days with commander gone but it should be at least 50-50.

I find that it I have 2 weapons in first 5 turns, I have pretty good chance of winning.

The other thing I guess is to do everything to prevent bok on mini bot as it is too costly to remove afterwards.

Yeah, pretty much all my lists were running 2 ghouls. The problem seems to be getting Patrons going before I'm in big trouble. Like, Fiery War Axe doesn't do much against Minibot.

I always axe or slam away the shield on 2. it sucks but it's better than trying to remove a 6-6 divine shield.

It is not possible to beat Aggro Shaman. It's the strongest deck in Hearthstone history. Makes Undertaker Hunter-Patron Warrior hybrid look balanced.

People who have been saying Tempostorm has been overrating it at the top of the meta report haven't played enough games against it. It's a perfect deck. Literally unbeatable.

Alright then, well if that's the case I'm gonna play aggro shaman and be legend in precisely 27 games.

Wut, Aggro Shaman isn't nearly that good. If you really want to beat it, play Patron. It's like a hard counter to it.

If you can't beat it, either change decks or play better. I fell from rank 4 to 1 star 6 playing that garbage.

Also, **** this matchmaking.

Getting crushed by constant reno locks and paladins. Switch to a deck that counters those, immediately get the counters to that deck, instead of more reno locks and paladins.

Seriously, though. **** reno lock and **** secret paladin. It's boring seeing the same two decks over, and over, and over, and over again.

Time to stop playing until Shaman is actually viable.

That deck needs CRUSH imo. It's really good in Reno Warrior in my experience.

Holy F#%$ supreme! keep getting gatekept by the stupidest S#%#...people top decking acidic swamp ooze with one card in hand when i have lethal with weapon. Playing the one facehunter I've faced all day to prevent legend...a stupid a$$ hobgoblin deck that draws the absolute nuts and I don't draw 1-2 drops for 3 turns even though my deck runs 8 minions at 2 or less cost...this game sometimes.

Just played against secretdin as patron where I killed his shredder only to have mini bot pop out.

Also played against a control warrior where his one inspire with Sarad gives him mind control which he used on my Grommash that I waited to play after his executes have been played.

Was just playing some ladder with MECH PRIEST. Got a rage add from an Aggro Shaman asking if I "always draw that well."

How salty do you have to be to be playing one of the Top 2 decks right now, let alone the most OP deck in Hearthstone history, LOSE to one guy playing an off meta deck and rage add him. Damn mate.

Returned to playing constructed after 7 months of playing arenas. Not knowing what the hell to play, I started to use tempostorms meta snapshot.

Not sure how interesting this is but I started tracking every archetype I played against and made this spreadsheet:


So for my tracked matchups, I would expect to win 4.6 more games with freeze mage compared to Mid-Range Druid.

I'll fully concede that the raw data from tempo is unreliable. It had/has some of the aggro shaman matchups very incorrect. But maybe it will inspire some of the legend guys to do this matrix for the couple of decks they specialize in, I wouldn't trust myself to eyeball the deck best in the meta.

I'm doing well with freeze mage, it's a very good counter to secret paladin. You will have games when your Alex is near the end of your deck but I feel like Tempos 70% perhaps should even be higher. Though I'm fairly experienced with freeze mage and it's the deck that has literally no new cards from when I last played(I don't run Reno). I'm only up to rank 9 so far so take this with a grain of salt.

are you discussing a sample of 38 games ?

I find freeze mage to be 85%+ vs paladins.

Sort of, but that's not really relevant to my post. I'm not claiming that the meta is 10/38 of secret paladins or anything.

Though I have more than 38 games. Once I'll start to know what I'm doing, I can account for mid-range hunters for example, stuff that's not tier2+ so they don't have the matchup estimations up.
This is around where I'd ballpark it as well.

That's awesome lenC. You should feel comfortable liberally adjusting the TempoStorm data I think. Another factor is the ranks you're playing at. Rank 9 opponents with skill intensive decks probably are gonna be doing worse than the secret pallys.

You can use Track-o-Bot to automatically keep track of the decks you're facing.

Why do people play tier 1 decks in casual mode? Its just a complete waste of time for both parties. I guess ******s who want to do quests or something, but how is playing renolock or secret pally in casual fun?
