Do people play around MCT in arena? sigh. Just stole my Sunwalker (25%) when he had no other way to even have a chance at victory. It was literally the only thing he could do outside of Deathwing to not die next turn. (yes, i'm sure there are a few ways he could have but jesus what a rip off)

Yeah, you're supposed to play around it in certain situations. Especially if adding a 4th minion doesn't do anything other than give him a guy to steal.

Does playing this improve my win chance?

If yes > Play
If no > Do not play

If your opponents only win condition is to MCT your taunt, don't play your taunt.

I do and I steal some giant to win the match priest vs handlock which is nearly impossible without that

Also very good vs zoo and, where priest is favored but not massive favorite. Look at the blizzcon hunter is ****ting all over those priest control

And vs miracle it's probably better to play a blank 3/3 because match-up is so bad that your only out is to make him spit all his spells before auctioner

Priest vs warrior is for priest now because cabal shadow priest + shadow madness on sludge belcher is good

Yea my priest does not do well vs ladder Zoo decks at all. I've been seriously considering adding one MCT. Handlock is a nightmare as well.

i think deathrattle priest is the better choice for the ladder.
it murders both zoo and hunter.

So I haven't played in a long time, trying to jump back in (for reference Loatheb didn't exist when I last played). I have a reasonable card pool and want to jump back in to Arena and some competitive decks quickly.

Legendaries I have:
Thalnos
Millhouse
Leeroy Jenkins
The Black Knight
Edwin Van Cleef

Any recommendations? Any guides/articles I should read to get caught up on Arena these days? Mage still #1?

Played Amaz this morning! He played control warrior, I had my inner fire/undertaker priest. I then proceeded to have the worst card draw ever, drawing all my huge minions and all my combo spells. Game was over by turn 5.

How does Control Warrior kill Priest on turn 5? That matchup usually goes to fatigue. Were there some sort of Frothing Berserker antics? Control Warrior hardly even puts any damage on the board until turn 7+.

No mage isn't number 1 and has never been if you try to reach 12w, but still a the best deck to reach 7. It's just not that great vs good players who play around flamestrike and know how to deal with mage power

I think it's priest who goes 12 the most easily power just cheated late game
Hunter is being played a lot

warlock/chaman are better with naxx
paladin/Mage are worse

My arena class rankings:

Rogue
Mage
Shaman
Paladin
Druid
Warlock/Hunter
Priest
Warrior

I've got it something like that. I value cheap early removal so you can control the tempo, which is why my top 3 is the way it is.

I really enjoy both warlock and hunter because of the hero powers, but I think they have weaker cards than the classes above them.

someone needs to teach me rogue arena, because i struggle really badly with it

my drafts always seem to suck, despite using arena value and things of the like

priest is actually the only class ive gone 12 wins with

i don't know if druid is the best class for me, but its the one im the most consistent with - always right in the 6-7 win range

Agree on druid. Always seems to be decent, but never great for me either.

Mage is the best for good players, too, and the best for getting to 12 wins. Arena Mastery has some cool stats based on 200k+ arenas submitted by their players.

i feel like those stats make sense. yes mage is one of the easiest classes for new players to play. imo its also the easiest to draft. even new players know enough to not pass up a fireball given the opportunity. other classes arent as straight forward.
